<div class="IPBDescription">It's out! :D</div>The full version of Batman: Arkham Asylum came out yesterday and it's even better than the demo!
The beginning is actually a bit different than the demo too. If you've played the demo, they actually chopped up a few different areas and cobbled them together. So it's kind of nice that it's new even though I played the living crap out of the demo.
Challenge Mode is pretty neat too.
So far I love it.

Oh.
Yeah, what he said! >:(
Now its time for a break..just fought Bane, great stuff. And wow..the Scarecrow part was simply badass.
And Mark Hamill cracks me up good throughout the game. best game of 2009 no doubt for me!
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes.
Shadow Complex made me bump Batman to second best game of 2009.
Shadow Complex? Yes.
Batman? No. It's on 360 and PS3 now, and PC later.
The full game is actually a lot more varied. In fact I'm almost done and I can only think of 3 other rooms that even have those gargoyles in them in the rest of the game, at least as far as I've been.
Comeon, you are lying now.

Except for Croc's Cave, which was a bit annoying and the boss fights, they were just henchmen fights with a little extra difficulty, there is absolutly nothing bad about this game and I can recommend it to anyone.
Brilliant story, brilliant voiceovers, good graphics, amazing gameplay....
Imagine this:
6 armed guards are roaming a room.
You take one guy out, quitely in a corner. Nobody notices, then Joker says: "You should do a headcount, there is one of you missing." and 4 guards run up to the place where you took out the first guard. That leaves one guy isolated. Swoop down from a gargoyle and take him out, leaving him hanging upside down from a gargoyle.
The 4 guards are now frightened. They go to check out the guy hanging, when you cut the rope with a batarang. They almost ###### themselves.
Place some explosive gel around a corner. Explode the gel and grapple up. Check out who is alone now, take him out. Only 3 left.
Glide kick down on anyone that is in a high postion and take him out.
The two remaining guys will argue and want to flee. But they can't. Just wait till they seperate and take one out anyway you like.
The last guard is now panicked. Enjoy.
He will shoot at anything that moves and scream. In my example he shot a boiler, because that thing released some steam.
Watched him for a couple of minutes. Pure fun. :)
What else bothers me is the total lack of rewards for silent takedowns. I can get about 20x score multiplier if I just glidekick my way in the middle of 10 thugs and proceed beating them down with little trouble.
Side note, I really like the fact that the batsuit gets a bit more worn and torn the longer you play.
The best part of the entire game?
Dying to bosses.
No, seriously. I just love how you see first person from the floor as Bane, for example, walks up to you from the dark and shouts "I BROKE YOU BATMAN" and snap your back on his knee.
They should've added a bonus for silent takedowns however....

The bonus is you don't alert the other guards. It's a gameplay bonus, the best kind!

I like how they actually went the other way. They show wear & tear on the suit as the game progresses. First there's just a cut on his shirt, then later holes appear in his cape. Near the end he's even got some Batstubble on his face since he hasn't shaved in awhile. It's a nice detail.
Well, yeah thats what I had in mind first. But you can try to lure groups of 6-8, which you were supposed to just knock around and take them out one by one. This is much harder but you get less points.
If they added a bonus for these groups, to match what you would get for a decent combo multiplier, it would've been enough.
Then again, just jumping in and knocking the crap out of them is also fun. :)
Playing as Joker is pretty awesome. It's cool because you don't have all those bat-gadgets.

I honestly don't know if that's sarcasm. It REALLY could be sarcasm, but my detector is in the shop and I've been trying to wing it this week. Can anybody with a working device let me know if this is sarcasm or not?
I meant that it forces you to play as much more average person, and in the process, I used things I almost never really used when I was playing as batman. It actually feels like a skulk because on some of the levels I rely entirely on the vents/grates in the walls/floors.
