how good would it be to have a different egg model for each type of alien , so the marines could chose what egg they wanted to kill first ie. fade or onos egg also giving them the satisfaction of truely knowing what egg they just killed

On the otherside it would give the aliens the knowledge of which egg to protect first <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

/THIS SHOULD ALSO BE PUT INTO NS 1 not just 2 <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    I think it would look good if an egg started out like in the original ns. then it grows and u can see in it as its growing.

    Yeah, and if a marine was up close, looking at it with flashlight on, they should be able to see whats inside =D

    yeah its a nice thing to add but i think most people will want to start shooting an egg from a distance, and from out of danger as there aint that much time to kill an egg before it fully gestates, you gotta bare in mind its gonna take time to run into a hive and have a look inside the egg beofre you try shooting it therefore getting your face chewed off.

    If they got time to add it then why not it all helps but i think the Quikest way is to have seprate distinctive models for each alien allowing the marines QUIK prefrance over which egg they shootm and for the aliens to see whos doing what.

    They is no Question in my mind something like this should be added !!!

    how about when your in the egg, you can see the egg moving more, like a claw or hand pushing the egg shell out kinda, kinda how a baby kicks when inside the mamas belly, you can see the inprent of its foot! do that with the egg.

    I very much like the flashlight idea.


    But then i dont like the idea of an onos hatching out of an egg 1/10 of its size.

    In another thread i posted my idea for gestation.

    Also on the topic on infestation, gorges should be able to help it grow. Or even create it from nothing (but it with wither and die).

    So in this way, if a player was egging away from infestation, and was about to come under attack soon, gorges could bury the egg in slimey infestation... and the egg would help it grow a bit, until it hatched, then itd all die.</b>

    Two things, get up close to plant a grenade in the egg. I think you can picture the rest. secondly y not have the alien re-spawn work by having them grow out of the DI goop. It would also be good to have this process somewhat camouflaged to make it difficult to spawn camp. They could spawn on the roof, in a corner etc. wherever the goop is within a hive radius.

    Hamper spawn camping? Heck ya! Easily one of the biggest annoyances to the early Kharaa game these days. It wouldn't make spawn camping impossible, it just would give the Kharaa player a chance to even "pop" into the game.

    Now meld the two ideas together: Have the marines scanning the infestation covering everything with their upgraded flash lights, looking for the outline of that pulsating sack, but in among that Kharaa home world goo would be the skulk, doing what it does best: skulking. Many a player will surely jump out of their chair when suddenly the teeth and claws of a skulk greet them instead of the hoped for easy kill!

    Thinking of these ideas together, working for gameplay goodness? Vote YES!

    Loving the suggestions so far. Gestating in infestation and on walls and ceilings - genius.

    Also like the idea of the egg growing as the lifeform gets closer to hatching.

    The higher the lifeform, the harder the egg. Alse lifeform should kinda grow slowly instead of just turning from a tiny egg to an onos in a second.

    yeah i definitley support higher lifeforms having tougher eggs. It just seems silly that a skulk evolving to an upgrade is as easy to kill as an onos egg. Also onos eggs are often forced to be more exposed because they need a lot of room to gestate

    I don't think fades or onos should be able to egg in a vent and yes the eggs should be slightly bigger and if the egg shells are harder then that might give the marines more surface area for the scattered long distance shotguns ect. to fire at <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    The more pleasure you get from knowingly killing onos eggs would just add to the whole ns experiance.

    Sorta agree with you there, fades i can understand as they can crouch, but onos? no way.
