I'm going to let you in on a secret: everyone sniffs the same. Giant nose, tiny nose, Michael Jackson: it's the same inrush of air.

I'm willing to bet the circumstances surrounding the sniff, including amount of air inhaled, reasons for inhaling, the exact content of the air inhaled, the duration of the inhalation etc... are all different.
A dry sniff sounds different than a snotty sniff, THAT'S for sure. Also, a snotty sniff due to a cold sounds different than a snotty sniff due to crying, but that may be circumstantial and due to emotional involvement.

Yeah, its a common thing. I do it, at least. Actually, my personal variation is that I'll say something really obvious in a mocking tone, or something stupid, and then do that sniff.

Valve takes longer to do things than a disabled slug hopped up on morphine. Do you know how long we've been waiting for Episode 2? And that pales in relation to the time it took for HL2, which itself is only a small portion of the length between TF2's announcement and its release, which of course hasn't happened yet. They may have stopped making these, sure, but for all you know it's proceeding right on Valveschedule, which means we'll get it sometime before, during, or after the end of all things.

Yeah I <a href="http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time" target="_blank">realize</a> that... I guess I never stop hoping.

That's the trouble with more complicated games, never ending development time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" />

Half-Life 2 is a lot less complicated than many first person shooter games we get these days. Valve takes a lot of time because of the quality, not the complexity.

Cartman has a sniff?

I assumed so when he said it was a Cartman sniff.
Do we have a sound byte handy of that sniff?

Probably realized it'd cost too much money and time and canned them.
