@IronHorse Yes, that is correct, disabling cross fire either in the CCC or simply removing the bridge has no affect; plog still fails.

I think I have the worst possible set up, 2 duel gpu cards in xfire. lol. Anyways the 14.7 beta drivers seem to run the game much smoother.

re-installing 14.4 resulted in several bsod, which is a common failure. I then un-installed and started again with the 14.7 beta drivers and everything seems to be back in order.

Rolled back drivers and as reported by others it fixes nothing. Now I have 2 screens that need the overscan fixed but cant. grr..

Did an hour long torture test on prime95 and there where no errors or problems.

Here is a r_stats for a very quick game, notice the crappy fps. 140 fps in the ready room, 40ish fps while biting the command chair. That's a 100fps loss
in FPS drop, lag, hit rego, micro stutter, fps fluctuations, general poor performance.

Yeah, temps are fine. Both are standard cards and the OC is from factory. The cpu runs fine as well, I have great cooling in the case and on the cpu.

…In Eclipse (tech point) the path leading to triad needs some work; as in, you can see the flashlight from a marine shining through the wall (generator side) just north of the power node. ^^3.5ghz standard yes. When I have some more money I will be an aftermarket fan for cpu, then I might think about upping it.

I ended going with the xfx radeon hd 7850 black edition.
100fps on main menu, everything maxed out. late game fps only drops down to ~40fps which is playable. average fps is around 80 or so and max is 180 fps.

My windows has been bsod lately and have been wondering ab…Changing the resolution increased the fps to 51 at main menu.
late game fps is better but As stated I think this is all I can expect from this card.

While it had dramatically reduced the load on the gpu mind and late game it still hovers around 9-10ms and spikes to 25ms. The fps fluctuated quite alot, 30-90 fps. In close combat with multiple person(s) (aliens and marines) it was still unplayable…(Quote)
