Was playing with a bunch of guys on this earlier today found a small exploitable issue.
As a marine heading to aliens spawn in the gorge tunnel room you can hide behind the portal by holding back. I think you need to pass through it first then… -

Added Sounds and atmospherics a few other bits and pieces.
Rather than squad numbers it should be colours.
As the coding for a coloured outline around a player is already in the game. a quick dirty mod editing the shader colour outline seen around a team mate when a commander assigns them to Blue squa…If you Admin/control a server you can turn on cheats and type thirdperson into the console and you can play in 3rd person. The codes all there it's just mighty difficult mind you as you have no crosshair, So landing shots and bites is a game initsel…Just throwing the idea out there.
What if you changed the colour of the tracer bullets for the 2 different teams.I'll help you with any questions you may have too. I don't have all the answers but between Mouse and myself I'm sure we can get you a map up and running.

Even with my mediocre aim the fact that it had 150 bullets to go crazy with made fades much more careful about engaging a marine with a HMG.
