Dude, ns2stats by default shows the past 2 weeks, which WAS horribly biased toward aliens. Change the filter to only show today and you find marines have a slightly more than 50% win rate. Stop spouting bullshit.

It was probably so popular because dumb gorges in NS1 had a problem with putting both ends of the web on the same wall, so it wouldn't do anything unless the marine felt like humping the wall.

Better than marines spawn camping aliens so no one hops in the hive (or vice versa). Requiring someone to get in the comm chair/hive before the map begins helps pub play.
