If camera's were ever added to the game, I think video logs would be much, MUCH, cooler. There's writing about it, and then there's reviewing it for your leisure and pleasure. Plus, imagine if you had special fish that could only b… -
A day passes in about five minutes, I don't think the hunger rate is too steep at all, not to mention food is abundant, as is water. I don't see the problem here....

Benezene made from blood oil is a new material confirmed to be added in the future.
If I could guess a use for this, I assume that it could be used as a crafting ingrediant to make plastic materials, such as plastic bottles which can be … -
Now you know what would be great to add for that torpedo system you're thinking of putting on the Seamoth? actual death animations and limp body physics for the dead sea creatures.

No, nobody has said that yet, and yes, that would be awesome.... Up until the point it decides to angle downwards and your entire base is turned upside down....
I could see a refueling out post for oxygen and seamoth re… -

Oh, forgot to mention, i'm almost positive none of the skin of any of these animals would make good armor plating.... At all. The bone sharks skin seems to be too tough of a material to make any kind of clothing out of, considering… -

So I decided to humor you and look it up, and apparently most bite suits are made of either jute, leather, or French Linen. The problem here is that none of these are water proof enough to be submerged, nor can I think of a materia… -

The dude's down right determined on getting animal training and pet materials for some reason.... -

You see, now this is a pet Idea I can be OK with AS LONG as eggs stay rare and few, with only so many per world and such. That way you can't abuse them, and you're more willing to not bring them into dangerous situations. Much bett… -

I don't like the idea of the hull of the Sea Moth being repaired anywhere because then it can be used as a permanent ram to kill most monsters in the sea without consequence or threat. Kill bone shark, get out, repair, repeat. I do… -

I like the blubber idea, it would give them more reasonable purpose, and gives you an excuse to try and put their defenses to the test. I already had gas grenades for their pick-upable defense gas balls, so ill mention that. Proble… -

Companions aren't needed for survival. food sources, yes, (Which I said, but clearly you only skimmed what I said), but not companions or beasts of burden. Those are both unneeded. Especially the beasts of burden, since we have suc… -

Animals being made friendly isn't the same thing as making the world habitable. Making the world habitable is getting a good food source, getting good homes and sheltering, and having plenty to drink.

It doesn't matter the effort it takes to get there if the end result is the same as what i'm saying. As for taming them and having them attack each other randomly, that seems more like it would a frustrating than anything. Studying… -

Feel free, this is a free place, you can do so even here, I just felt like I should voice my opinion on the subject in the hopes it, ya know.... Doesn't.... -

Even if it WERE plausible, I REALLY don't think perma-taming would be a good addition to the game.
You think it sounds cool, having the beasts of the sea defending and fighting for and with you, but then the game gets d… -

This seems to be a thing a lot of people want, and I personally just don't agree.
The thing about an alien sea, and an alien planet, is that there interactions with another being are completely unpredictable, and are as… -

To be fair, the Stalker itself DOES chase and eat peepers, so there is some interactions between the species. I definitely feel you when you say the Stalkers should be pack animals though. Their thin, predator like make… -
I was thinking of having armored Hull plates be made from cave crawler shells, and for base durability to have a serious legitimate use. It would be nice if the predators of the sea actively try to hunt down your base. Maybe bait buildings with cert…

I just hate the idea of there being no point to killing monsters in game other then to keep them off you. I mean, it's challenging to kill some of these things early game, at least until you get the seamoth and can ram them to death.

I understand that you don't want a tool that is a pure weapon, (After reading the thread), but I was thinking that the dart gun and acid tipped darts should be used against small fry fish, or acid against the shelled fish (Like the… -

Thanks, so far the praised ideas are the bleeders sucking out venom, and the displacement of sand from krimp digging exposing materials if dug.

floaters and creepvine you mean? I could see that, but wouldn't this just float to the top of the ocean realistically? I don't think it can be used to catch fish, but I do think it could easily be used as a live food storage. If fo… -

Thanks, I was kind of hoping to get more people putting in more item and mob use ideas though. Sad how barren this post is.
