I had the same issue with the reef backs except one wandered to the creep vine biome so I am just avoiding that area until I can kill it with torpedoes assuming my saves are not done for with the current issue with saves not loading.I think the update did that purposely so you have to expand your search for materials in a short amount of time. And fragments don't respond at all it looks like. Which I overall likein Resouces are not Respawning Comment by Neintales February 2017
There is another thread talking about the saves not loading. It seems to be happening after the sunbeam gets shot done by the looks of it. Really hope it gets fixed, whether we get those saves back or not I'd just love to doting playing without such…
