(Quote) That implies that I have to be a regular reader of the UWE forums and has a somewhat an undertone of "you should know better". But my intuition tells me that you probably wrote that answer like a 100 times.

Interesting project there. As I understand an enhanced/overhauled spark engine is being used for Future Perfect? Can we expect that the NS2 dev team has access to those enhancements and can build them into NS2? Or is it to different to retrofit NS2 …

WHAT IS ALL BEHIND THE MYSTERIOUS CODE THAT PREVENTS US FROM THE KEYBOARD BINDING SYSTEM WE WISH, TELL US in Usable Key Binding System Comment by Husar December 2013 -
The next question would be: why is the number of binds limited?

(Quote) Some assume that it is not implemented to prevent mouse wheels to be misused as a rapid fire for the pistol. If that is the case than I have to say it would be the stupidest method to prevent this UWE could think of. There are ple…

When I read this in the changelog list (Quote) I suddenly had to think of another space marine game.

It may be my imagination but every time hear this standard chitchat it sounds like an accusation as if the developers don't know what they are doing and that they should have done it right just from the beginning. Why are people ov… -

No, it would not be to much, it is a necessity. You can always have a standard preset per side. And people like me do a setup per class/gear. It is a question of choice which we don't have right now! -

YUUUUP!
EDIT: and of course the bindings change automatically dependent on class/gear like I said before.
EDIT2: and not just per team but also per alien class skulk/gorge/lerk/fade/onos and gear marine/jetpacker/… -
No, I want a per class/gear completely independently customizable movement and attack keys. And of course I want to define commander keys my self.

Great, now there just needs to be a per class/gear/commander binding system. -

Well, thank you for your effort @SamsusDroid, but that is not what I searched for. I want to bind keys per alien class and per marine gear level and … -
@Max, thank you for showing up here. My question still stands: are there any considerations improving the key binding system?
-
@Discowitz
Well, if that shiny stuff takes up a lot of the address space which would be beyond the 4GB mark than probably a 64bit system does matter! -
@driest
Your post drives tears in my eyes. I am sure there were complains about the underdeveloped key binding system. I remember especially the commander problems wi… -

I didn't say "screew you", all I said is that it is not that easy as you might think ("proper coding techniques").

(Quote) Congratulations, you just described a console with a fixed hardware setup which you cannot change. It is good for developers because they don't have the problems of the individualism of pc hardware, but future games just get uglier, if th…

It maybe not what you wanted, but there is a nice mod called "Main Menu Poses" which shows your selected skin in the main menu.

Isn't that what life is about, learning new stuff and adjusting?
Also, that "tiresome" new stuff is what keeps me interested for NS2. I'm waiting curiously for a new build to see what has changed and therefor to adopt. Well, I guess as much th… -

Most important is having a binding option per class! OR am i wrong?

For marines it would be Foot … -
