Really? So any video is the same as any other video?
You're the only person in the world who believes this. -

Agree 100% with this. In fact, I didn't really realize it until you said it. This game doesn't require you to constantly slave away just trying to do basic tasks. If anything, the very beginning is like that but only for air; after… -
I don't think it's a contest; Dead Zone for the win.
Noob question though: does the Dead Zone have a bottom? Or do you just fall out of the world if you go far enough? (Quote)

OK, it's something else then. You may have traveled in Silent Running mode, which continues to drain power like mad even if you are idle. Before you leave the Cyclops, be sure to shut down silent running first, then t… -

OK great, that's definitely NOT the tree I thought it was. I did find the Disease Research Facility, so if I make it back there I should be good to go. Didn't see that tree, though, so I might have missed it. I left a few beacons s… -

I bet you have power cell and/or battery chargers in your Cyclops. That drains the battery when you're out, and even if you power down. When I moved my power cell charges to the dock's base, rather than inside they Cyclops, that pr… -

Is it just a big, white tree with red bloodoil sacs? I know where that is, and yes, it's near the skeletons. But I don't see eggs, only red bloodsacs. -
I did accidentally get a ride on a ray once. It landed where I was standing and then took off again, with me on it. Totally weird glitch but was fun sightseeing.

You have to cure your infection, which is a major part of the game from what I've read. That's pretty much what I'm working on now, myself.
Like elfcrisis said, you can't climb to the top of the gun platform, and there's no reason to. Yo… -

Right click twice to toggle off the display and leave the headlight on. -
Also, make sure you've put a battery in the seaglide, otherwise when you use it you just swim at the normal rate. A few times my battery died and I was wondering why I wasn't getting a speed boost. Doh!

It's the "foundation" unit. When you place them near the ocean floor, they sprout legs, but if you place them high enough, they just float. Either way, they still provide base strength. I think you build them with ti x 2 and li x 1. -

I don't know, man. I am running it on a gaming LAPTOP (Core i7 at 2.6 GHZ w/ 32 gb ram, Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M) and I am not getting stuttering. Most of my settings are at max, I think I turned off lens dirt, motion blur, that's i… -

I think the engine is showing its age. The big problem I have is the pop-in. -

How can people who were banned subsequently post here? And is this thread really necessary? I suspect it's only interesting to the OP.
Never mind, now I see you're talking about Discord. -

Heh, I also came over from No Man's Sky and found the transition a little jarring at first.
You CANNOT break down items back into their parts again (except for buildings.) So you're stuck with the waterproof storage box… -

Agree. Ideally, the Cyclops should have a side hatch just for docking. That lower deck is largely useless, so adding a base docking chamber would be useful. -

It is a bit wacky that nuke doesn't last very long; it should be the most powerful energy source in the game. -

I agree. The OP doesn't seem to understand, the Cyclops is the RV used to CARRY the four-wheeler for offroad excursions, just like an RV is used to tow another vehicle behind. I'm not sure where he's going with this argument.

Although, one time my dock had an uninvited visitor:

In the builds above, I put a station around the platform largely to assist in finding it at night (hard to see the flat platforms on the water's surface without indicators). That's also why there are lights. Inside the station is a nuke reactor used…

Safe shallows. There's a spot with a trench that allows you to build a functioning moonpool while the rest of the base is on level ground. It's worked out great, except for some difficulty in place an observation deck. I then built a Cyclops dock as…

I totally use the nuke reactors. I have a base that is filled with power cell chargers (next to my cyclops dock); the dock also has a lot of lights, so it needs a lot of juice. I found a huge cache of uranite so making the rods isn't a problem. But …

The only thing I think is missing from the Cyclops, which would likely be solved by the Atlas, is the lack of a second docking bay. It's frustrating to travel with only the Seamoth, but then find a mining spot and have to lay a beacon, go back and g…
