I dont think the problem is that it is too dark or too light but more that it is too even. There needs to be more varience to the lighting, shadows and brighter areas.
Currently there apear to be no light sources in the infested area but the whole thing is evenly lit.
Still in general it does all look damn nice. I look forward to the return of Bast.
The playtest was freaking awesome. Granted I only played a couple of games, but it was extremely fun. Imo, the dscale could be lowered because the bright spots were extremely bright and the dark spots were too dark.
Oh, and Mr.Ben... INFESTATION GOD! I mean, holy cow, when I first entered Feedwater my jaw just dropped. Wow, dude.

speakin' of which: how did the PT go, specifically balance/gameplay-wise? I'm referring to, you know, the feel of playing on a Bast without all the "complain-zones" n' stuff... did it all work well for now? were these tweaks truly an improvement, after all? or not? or not <i>yet</i>?

Maybe you guys should take nancy and bring that up to date too... cause at the moment it's really old fashioned and ugly.... (my opinion) Nancy really needs an upheavel.... ... Hera too. Hera needs to be fixed in the new zones, it's quite ugly.

Oh, by the way, there haven't been any balance changes yet, so this is basically the old bast with better looking hives and generally darker lighting (which will be fixed eventually I hope).
The last PT we had on bast was awesome. Every hive went down twice <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> Lasted 45 minutes and was definately what i'd consider to be epic NS. I didn't get any screenshots but i will from the next PT, maybe even a demo. Should be a good watch if it's anything like the last match.

Well a suggestion if n-corridor isnt scrapped. How about a vent that goes from feed to n corridor? :o Maybe it could branch off and go to atmospheric too.

Here's the shot of Belg's last moments, alone in front of the console, perhaps sending a desperate distress beacon, or perhaps just watching his last ever porn movie. I'd been killed moments before, leaving him the sole survivor of the marines.
*Excuse the awful picture quality, this part of the map was so dark that I had to really tweak the levels so you could even see the guy.
