Seriously, I think his costume is kinda cool. Just because you don't value what the poor guy did doesn't mean you need to try and degrade him with silly and petty insults. I don't know about you but I couldn't make that shield and sword and stuff, especially as it looks pretty solid and real compared to the usual stuff people make out of floppy things that fall apart. I might not be a major fan of cosplay but I at least respect that they're doing SOMETHING, whether I or others appreciate it or not. While he was making that costume some people rotted their little lives away infront of a TV or engaged in other such inane activities that leave us with time spent and little else.
<b>edit:</b> another thing that bugs me... do you know this guy? Have you talked to him? How the heck do you know he's 'lost in a fantasty world'? Do you normally throw your assumptions around like they're fact? For all you know he could've thought "I'm bored, hey, I'll make a cool link costume".
