Hmmm... I have to say that a slow, stealthy ttack from behind where my enemy never even knew I was there until he hits the floor is my favorite sort of assualt.

I voted Marines but I might play either <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::asrifle::'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/turret.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::sentry::'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tiny.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='::onos::'><!--endemo-->
I think I will probably start with Aliens. I was always the best with them in AvP, anyway. I used to make my friends physically nauseaus (sp?) the way I'd move around. But, I'm sure that I'll learn both sides. How can you defeat an enemy if you don't know how they work. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> Mix

Why watch the marines get torn up by aliens why you your self can join in the fun to <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> !!
Being an alien will be so much fun... dropping down on the Marines below you, watching them spray randomly as you slip in between them, separating their flesh, the purity of the confusion...
o_O Yeah. It's really a toss-up, both teams are gonna be great.
Hard choice I suppose....After all I am a real marine in training right now....What many people haven't realized is the map might affect your choice. For example in CS(I don't play it it is just an example) certain maps I prefer Terrorist over Counter-Terrorist. I think the map will wiegh heavily on my choice.
Well see CS and NS are totally different. In cs the only difference between the teams was a few guns and the models. But in NS both teams are entirely different, I think if the person wants to play with teamwork or wants to play some deathmatch style NS will decide which team he/she will be on.
Good point, AVP2 is a better example. Some levels in that game I prefer the predator other I prefer the aliens or the marines. I think NS willbe the same for me as far as team chosing goes, Unless the teams are unbalanced, then I will fix them.

oh and Tep ur sig is kinda big. follow the sig guide lines in the ART forum.
I'm a sucker for the underdog, so I voted aliens. And I am actually very much looking forward to being able to make my own upgrades and morph to whatever I want.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy teamwork and know what it can accomplish. But I also like being able to survive without depending on my commander being competent. Which will likely be an issue upon release (early on anyway).
Initially I'll play both sides to get a feel for them. But I think eventually it will come down to what ever mood I'm in.
If I'm in a DM'ing kinda mood or just want to do my own thing, then I'll play aliens. I only have to cooperate/coordinate as little or as much as I want.
If I'm in a team spirit kinda mood then I'll go for the marines. I think it will be extremely rewarding carrying out plans with your team and watching those plans succeed. Knowing that you had your part and without fulfilling that your team probably would have lost.
From everything I have read so far, each team is balanced and your going to have fun whichever side you pick. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
I don't really favor one over the other, but I will likely play aliens more just because they have cool abilities. Which I'm all about that. Weapons that blow shtuff up is cool- but spewing acid and wall walking is better in my opinion.
Marines... although I worry that it'd be a situation like in CS, where noone knows or cares what the rest of the team is doing and is just out for number one. Some of the best games in CS I've ever enjoyed were when you had two decently organized sides. Hopefully the commander will help even random schmoes into a more organized unit. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
I think I´ll play both equally. I´ve always had fun hunting marines in AVP(1&2) as an alien, but I think it´s time for me to play the "hunted"´s part more. With marines it´s more about <b>surviving</b> anyways. i think I´ll like playing on both sides. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Ah if I really wanted to shoot guns that badly, I'd go play any other mod, a lot of my attraction toward this game is the biting, clawing, and flying part of it, if you know what I mean <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
