ah so thats what it is... Only thing about it is that it makes the barrel seem diminuitive... Perhaps if someone modled this it could be a lmg/gren launcher then?

dont laugh...cs foam (chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile foam) has ben prooven as more effective than every other kind of chemical manstopping agents...
you use csfoam projectiles against single targets to stop, without harming near standing innocent.
the forerunner or the csfoam projectile was the pepper bag... disadvantage of the pepper projectile was when the target is wearing a gasmask.and the pepper gets sprayd in the surrounding air.. csfoam can be affiliated through the skin.. its very sticky and can be also used to agglutinate the glasses of a gasmask. the foam expands on the air 10-25 times to its initial size, a real mess when you get hit by one.
you can also use the foam in a spray... this stuff is way nastier than cs gas sprays, because its sticky

In something like that Id prefer a shotgun on the underbarrel (for close encounters), but very nice. When can those be expected on-market?

    Questions:

    1. Are you sure it would stand up to firing a .50 bmg? Especially without recoil reduction.

    2. Can it take M16/stanag magazines?

    3. What fire modes does it use?
  • sheena_yanaisheena_yanai Join Date: 2002-12-23 Member: 11426Members
the rubber stun ammo adaptor accepts 20 gauge shotgun ammo...
and the .50 bmg system got a recoil brake similar to barrett one. its possible to fire a .50 bmg round without mechanic recoil brake...you just need a muzzle break.. shure.. it still got more punch than a shotgun... but with single shot, and this neoprene stock no problem.
no it cant take standart magazines.
it got 2 fire modes... safe and fire <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> lol nah joke..
the system is similar to the steyr aug.. only difference you can add a 3 round limmiter with the safety switch.
no single fire, because you can fire single rounds in every mode.
push the trigger over 60% fires a single round.then you will feel a mechanic resistance like on the aug...push the trigger over that resistance gives full auto , or 3 round burst with activated limiter

i think the barrel is just a wee bit short for an AR, maybe it'll fit better as a carbine. The part where you can interchange barrels for different ammo doesnt look very stable, especially if you're gonna fire a .50bmg through that. You'll need a wayy longer barrel (too long to properly balance the gun in the user's hands) and a more stronger/stable platform.

    (does .50bmg come in hesh/heat/sabot rounds? i thought only ball/SLAP/armor-piercing incendiary) :o

bullpup configuration... the barell got a similar lenght of a assault rifle... its only inside the gun..
the part where you can interchange the firing system got a mechanic lock... the screw is just the joint to reload it, the single components are complete different to each other.the .50 bmg adaptor got a similar lenght as a single shot .50bmg pistol... ive seen one in action....hurts as pistol..but with a stock you can controll that. this is just for very short distances.when ready to fire its on the same height as the rifle barell and get locked to the outer frame of the barell.. when not used the back part of the barell is open.. youre able to fire with your regular rifle ammo throught the .50bmg adaptor at the front end of the barell.. when used ,you breach load it.
you have to insert the projectile with a lock into the barell, like on some .50 sniper rifles, theres already the pin inside... this is just for big stationary or slow targets..

and at last ive said "special" bmg ammo <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

yes i know its bullpup, the barrel is inside, but still, when i took the length of the mag(assuming this is the length of the bullet), the head of the bolt and length of the barrel, its still a little short. Notice guns like AUG/SA80/SAR21 have barrels extending way ahead of where the handle is.

Raufoss is probably the best round short of SLAP (and with muzzle brake, you can't use SLAP generally). Adapting it to fire .50 caliber is kind of reaching, with more disadvantages than advantages, but I suppose it could be possible

Personally I think a single shot breach loading 12 guage would be most useful. You could hold any standard 12 guage rounds; flare, beanbag, buckshot, etc making it extremely versitile.

    Question though;
That looks like a hinge under the grenade launcher. Does it break open like the M79 to reload? Will it clear the barrel? (doesn't look like it would) Or do you load it from some sort of hinged port like the old winchester lever actions?

I think it looks very good, but I probably won't attempt to model this particular one unless I can get more detail as to where things bend, curve, etc. I don't want to goof it up.

...just take the p90.... its a smg sized assault rifle...
you can fight enemys at 300 metres with it.it can still penetrate cevlar bodyarmor at this distance.the aug got a similar distance.. i think it got 330 metres...
lenght doesnt count.. thats typical for a man... he equates the lenght of a device with its strength.. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
imnot doing my guns as phallic symbols.. long barells on compact systems dont making sense..
  • sheena_yanaisheena_yanai Join Date: 2002-12-23 Member: 11426Members
yeah.. like the m79 .. you have to pull the barell down a little bit over 90 degrees to clear the barell, and to span the pin.
when i color it you get more informations about the shape .. i dont like line drawings for concepts either...
  • rabbityrabbity Join Date: 2003-07-02 Member: 17866Members
P90 a small sized assault rifle? well......not really, its just an SMG firing low caliber, slighty high velocity pistol rounds. Its max effective range is 200 metres. An aug's max effective range is way further than that

M16a2 with a 20in barrel damages the target better than a G36c. This is because for a 5.56mm round to fragment, it has to reach an optimum velocity, and thus, thats why a longer barrel is better. But then again, too long a barrel will, instead, decrease the velocity of the round.

anyway with a barrel like that in your gun, it fits more as a Carbine rather than a full sized assault rifle.

uhm.. nope.. after nato specifications the p90´s range is 400 metres (the maximum effective range where a weapon's projectile will still deliver 85 joules on target) .. at this range it still can kill a soft target... at 150 metres it penetrates several layers (48 layers) of cevlar.. including crisat protection..which is a combination of titanium and Kevlar. level 3 body armor and PASGT (U.S. Kevlar) helmet at 200 meters ...

but who cares... this isnt even a realistic concept... why im trying to explain something that not exists..lets say this one is able to replace a assault rifle..the tkb-022 pm is a nice example,or the AKS-74U (just imagine that weapon as bullpup..it would still be a assault rifle.. only shorter, because you wont need the stock anymore.then it will have the same size. aw..nm.. thats just my dotingness in compact weapons..
  • sheena_yanaisheena_yanai Join Date: 2002-12-23 Member: 11426Members
heres a example what i mean.. this would be the AKS-74U assault rifle in a bullpup config (this pic is just a little hax to show what i mean..)
