Power lines to base need some form of anchor point on each module (like ball on top of transmitter)

It's a bit jarring to see power lines just disappearing into your base whereever they end up; it'd make more sense to have a dedicated power anchor point (maybe even with a model, like the ball on the Power Transmitter?) on each component. The power line will connect to the closest anchor that's not obstructed by other base components. The same process in reverse should go to powering floodlights. (And maybe Cyclops, if you decide bases should charge them with an upgrade for that?)

They have plans to update the power lines :p. Though in my 2nd surivial world world there is a random power line that goes from around the mountain biome to the safe shallows where one of the lifepod 5 spawn points are. But I do like the anchor idea.

I disagree. I like the power line that is now. I prefer to build other rooms on multipurpose rooms, it's more convenient and better than building a ball there.

You misunderstand. The ball would be on every compartment, (although I suppose you could make it a buildable, but it should be part of the modular compartment design IMHO). So it's not that you'd have to build anything extra, it's that the power line would go to a specific spot on the compartments instead of just disappearing into the body somewhere.

I would prefer for this to be a separate buildable a la the base pump. To me, the freedom to chose how lines connect would be worth the +1 material cost.

Hmm. And since you'd only need one attach point facing each external power source, you could make it cost one gold or something (or one copper?)
