the great vanishing wreck

ok so i just downloaded the new update on xbox one and i got the message to go find lifepod 17 now i know that there is a wreck like right next to it so i thought "oh cool i can go scavenge that wreck" but when i got there the wreck was not there anymore was it moved or is my game glitching. also i have tried restarting but nothing happened then i tried starting a new game and nothing changed. Also life pod 6 wont spawn as well.

Same thing happened to me, except the decals for the breaches in the hull loaded, as well as some crates. The the wreck near lifepod 7 was also missing, but there was a floodlight, when I scanned it the wreck suddenly loaded and I was stuck in a wall.

Use the command

warp

if that happens again (moves you a few meters away, good for getting unstuck).

every big wreck so far is that way.... the one by 17.. the 1 in the nw mushroom forest... in the dunes.. in the grand reef... all have no shells just the cargo boxes and door frames...

I tried deleting my save data, in game, and in the games panel of the xbox menu, and making a new one, wrecks still don't spawn.

Ive tried everything now aswell but nothing works. Ive also checked the other wrecks and a couple are there but most of them are gone. So now i cant play the game anymore since i can no longer get of the fragments from those wrecks. I just bought this game a little less then a week ago and fell in love with it but now i cant really play it so im hoping it gets patched really soon so i can play again.

They don't talk about it but I've seen many fixes between updates. Hang in there.

I've had similar issues, also I have big wrecks that ARE visable, but just don't spawn any fragments. It seems really hit and miss besides the Mushroom Forest Wreck, that was is always vanished for me.

yeah i have same problem since the update aswell, the wrecks are like gone but all can see is floating crates and starting new game dont fix it either so i hope it gets fix really soon.

None of my lifepods load but I can grab the items in it and all wrecks I explored have no fragments in them.

Same here. Not all the wrecks are loading properly. Just floating debris and doors and stuff.

I tried deleting the save, removing sync from the cloud, uninstalling subnautica, cold booting and reinstalling. Didn't fix it. I think that eliminates everything that can be done on our end.
