    Or the planet is flat.

Sarcasm... lol what is this the 1400-1500s still?

There are still people out there who are convinced the earth is flat. "Flat Earthers" they call themselves.

Most people still believe in various almighty sky daddies as well, humanity still hasn't grown up

Let's stop this conversation right here. It will end up in a heap of beliefs we all don't want on this forum.
Oh don't worry, there is no discussion if one party has no proof or doesn't actually have a point

I'd be more worried about that post above yours, it might spark the female character debate once more

Hmm, what I find odd is... Assuming these lads (AND LASSIES, don't worry I've got you covered @Requiemfang  ) are at least a type 2 civilisation (probably type 3), how come they went extinct. Those peeps usually have so many backups across the galaxy, it'd be hard to make them actually extinc right?

Ah well, maybe they moved on to other galaxies or had a mass suicide party due to this dangerous bacterium... Who knows...

Maby their genetic tampering to create a cure left some of the species immortal but also infertile, then they either lock themselfs away or died.

But it is strange that there was no "bunker world" where selected individuals were kept safe from the virus, also if carar is transmitted through water then how did the precursors get infected if all their bases contain am air pocket.

Oooh, kinda like the Asgardians in SG1...

Maybe it was in the water they "purified" and drank? Life in general starts with water as far as we know :D

lol was just saying something that was on my mind. Regardless of that... yeah can totally see the Precursors being a Type 2 or 3 civilization, especially if they have the ability to download someone's consciousness into a computer.

How do you know this, or is it just your take on it?

Probably just his take on it. Dev's have already chimed in on it. It's more of a cosmetic which is applied to the character, that and that Warpers aggro your butt like crazy since it's their job to eliminate any lifeform that's infected.

    does it matter??

    yes

Rest assured, we exist. We simply have no interest in talking with people not interested in an honest two-way conversation.

Not to drag this topic, off-topic (cause that IS what I do best), but you pushed to bullshit button
But seriously? An honest two-way conversation on a topic claims to be "the undeniable one and only absolute Truth®" or suffer the consequences if you disagree (in most religions)? Without ANY proper testable evidence backing it up at all (in all religions), even after all these years... My God (pun intended), the sheer audacity to even dare to make that claim! That in itself is so beyond dishonest, even Fek'lhr would be proud!

Want to be truly honest, say it with me:
    • We don't know "yet"! (which can be said for all extraordinary claims, without any testable evidence o/ )
    • Absolute truths are a paradox and cannot exists as long as we don't know everything. Which is actually something we can never test, because that would mean, we don't know "yet"!

Sidenote, I don't mind religion and people who believe if it gives them serenity and security, more power to them! But at least be honest about it being something personal for you! Something which cannot be tested or proven to others, unless we can read minds and even then it's still a personal experience...

I didn't break out the popcorn but sitting here this morning drinking a cup of coffee and listening to your popcorn music was just as satisfying
