[Crash] Exiting Scanner Room Drone Control crashes the game

Happened a few times. I start piloting the drone. As the drone moves, the game freezes a few times for a few seconds, but continues to operate normally. As I exit the drone control, the game freezes for a few seconds and then crashes.

    Little update - it seems this doesn't happen in the scanner room. It happens all the time. No matter what I do, during the first approximately 5 minutes of gameplay, the game will feeze for a few seconds, up to 10max. And then, at one point one it freezes and crashes. I see more and more people on the forums are reporting this, so I guess my case is the same - game crashes no matter what and it's completely unplayable. I tried restarting, modify settings, reducing graphics, etc. Nothing helps.

    Basically, I have no choice but to stop playing :(

    I know this game is early access and that we can expect bugs in the game and not expect them to be fixed immediately.
    But this is a bug I think you really need to fix ASAP. Early access or not, we did pay to play this game, and like this it just cannot be played at all. You made an awesome game, please don't screw it up :smile:

    Well I tried your solution. Can't say that whether it works or not, since the game crashes almost immediately upon startup. I can't get back to base to map the Camera batch numbers. Any suggestions?

    Yes. Instead of deleting the cache files, move them elsewhere. Find your base, mark down the batch files. Exit & copy the base batch files back into the respective directories, overwriting the regenerated files (if you don't have terrain in your base(s), though, you don't even have to do that).
