Precursor Culture

What culture do you guys recon Precursor behaviour and architecture will be based on (if anything, maybe they'll just be a futuristic race)? I have two ideas in mind. Firstly they could be like Mayans, with pyramids that work their way up in massive steps cities that are made of rock and are crumbling with every step taken inside. Like the Mayans, their technology could have advanced extremely rapidly, and like the Mayans they disappeared without a trace (if the Precursors are gone, which I somewhat hope they aren't). Or they could draw inspiration from Egyptian and Greek culture. I think they would worship their Emperor (yes, Emperor, I can't imagine their leader being called anything else) like the Egyptians worshipped their Pharaoh; creating enormous monuments and statues, carvings in walls, et cetera. It would draw from Greek architecture, with Colosseums and temples with pillars and the like. But I find these unlikely, I think they'll just be another futuristic race. Although drawing from ancient cultures would be pretty cool :)
