Precursor Culture

What culture do you guys recon Precursor behaviour and architecture will be based on (if anything, maybe they'll just be a futuristic race)? I have two ideas in mind. Firstly they could be like Mayans, with pyramids that work their way up in massive steps cities that are made of rock and are crumbling with every step taken inside. Like the Mayans, their technology could have advanced extremely rapidly, and like the Mayans they disappeared without a trace (if the Precursors are gone, which I somewhat hope they aren't). Or they could draw inspiration from Egyptian and Greek culture. I think they would worship their Emperor (yes, Emperor, I can't imagine their leader being called anything else) like the Egyptians worshipped their Pharaoh; creating enormous monuments and statues, carvings in walls, et cetera. It would draw from Greek architecture, with Colosseums and temples with pillars and the like. But I find these unlikely, I think they'll just be another futuristic race. Although drawing from ancient cultures would be pretty cool

I'm hoping the architecture is based off of Watchers from Dark Void.



Not the best game in the world but man I love the look of it.

Yeah, its too bad the game itself is 3 hours long MAX.

The Lava Castle is a Precursor creation so if that is an example of their architecture then most of their bases are probably made in the terrain and have some futuristic technologies combined with them. If you have played experimental you know what is going on with the castle and prison chamber... so they probably if anything hollow out the terrain to build in. Correct me if the lava castle isn't Precursor but I think I read somewhere it is.

I was hoping for a more grand and graceful look, like the Orokin architecture.





But i guess it looks fine with its current mayan like style.

If you look up minecraft prismarine blocks or the underwater temple... it kind of looks like that. Just more high tech lol
