I can't be the only one.

More and more, I look at models of the flora and fauna (as well as some other things) in Subnautica, and can't help but to see similarities.

Please tell me at least one person has thought of at least one of these similarities.

Reaper Leviathan

We all know him... Herbert!

Aurora

Home One, anyone? Star Wars, Admiral Ackbar's ship?

Tiger Plant

Not even kidding. The way it acts, the way it looks. Cactus, Plants vs Zombies.

Gaspopod

Even if it doesn't look like the Pyro, it's definitely meant to look like it has a gas mask.

Brain Coral

It's Cauliflower.

Can't say I have to be honest.

You're stretching it a bit far. The only ones I can see are the Aurora/flagship (which is a common design for spaceships anyway) and the brain coral (which is pretty obvious)

The Aurora/Flagship one is actually Aurora/Home One. It's the most related flagship I could find, and it's so strikingly similar I had to put it there.

The main one that started me on this line of thinking was the Tiger Plant. Anyone who's played PvZ knows that it's disturbingly similar to the Cactus, both in appearance and action.

The only similarity between the tiger plant and a PvZ cactus is that they shoot spikes. Which... Is hardly unique. Like, the PvZ Cactus is also very similar to the Cactuar from Final Fantasy.

    brain coral - yes
tiger plant - I can guess what the PvZ cactus does, so probably yes
    gasopod - definitely gas-masky
aurora - waaay to short, even when in good health
reaper leviathan - who the hell even is that guy?

I can't agree with these. the closest one that i can kinda agree with is the aurora but it's WAY to short.

Actually, I was just pointing out the weird old-man chin.

Anyway, the one I'm most certain of is the Tiger Plant. A three-pronged thing that shoots spikes at passing things.

I just realized the Reaper has a ballsack for a chin.

    This changes everything.

That's mostly the point I was trying to make with that one. Not really any relation aside from the general shape of the face, and that it enjoys going after humans that are smaller than itself.
