I've tried it on both, didn't have a noticeable impact at all for loading times and absolutely none in-game. Does texture streaming on/off make any difference to you?
So its impossible to give us an option toggle infestation on / off, at least until the infestation can be less taxing?
Simply rename/delete/destroy/etc folder named as "infestation" that located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\materials". Enjoy with boosted FPS. Also you can't see infestation anymore.

Use r_stats to see if your GPU or CPU is the bottleneck
If it says "waiting for GPU" then the cause is the videocard, try lowering settings or if possible, upgrading.

Using only Steam Overlay, sometimes i have XFire on, most of times slowdown appears when there's lots of people shooting (Mostly flamethrowers).

Toward the end of a game I'm suffering from inconsistent FPS drops. I recorded a short .plog once this started happening - sorry if this was too late in the game to discern the causes.
Otherwise very much enjoying the update and NS2 as a whole

I was playing on Refinery earlier and noticed the perf was tanking pretty bad, I checked the console and it said there were 4 memory leaks going on. So I started a plog for it.
I made a forum account just for this but, how would i optimize the game using "RadionPro" it fixed many problems with other games with cirtain fixes, anyone here use it and care to help?

Do you also use the "D3D11 (Beta)" in graphics settings? If so could you try out "D3D9"? DirectX 11 isn't working properly for all I know. Other than that please make a TechSupport.zip and then try out the other recommendtions in this thread. Please list what you tried and what effect you got from it. (Play with graphics settings too).

I tryed the fixes from this thread, but no luck.
Set everything to Off/Low and played on 1280x1024 tryed to enable disable multicore rendering, still same results

Hi Andreas, are you using any overlay applications? (Steam overlay or any screen recording applications)
When do you experience the slowdowns?

Try to increase the CMOS priority in your Windows Registry. Ask the Google, what you can do this.
Its increase performance for me at 10%
