Some of these achievements are BRILLIANT!!!
With this community input NS2 could have thousands of achievements. This would be good to keep new players interested, and a lot of them would read through the achivements early in their game experience, and possibly get more of an understanding of the game through them.
It's an alternative approach to learning that fits better than filling the HUD with too much information to be able to play the game.

Though I'm not a fan of achievement spam, I do think there should be an achievement for the first of every type of kill. It keeps new players interest and gets them to expand out of their comfort zone and think about other tactics such as a rifle butt and welder kills or skulk tracer kills (can you gorge slide kill someone? That would be awesome).
Also the TF2 model of having different levels within classes is interesting. Get an achievement after your 5th and 10th Lerk achievement.
Scrambled Eggs: Kill 500 eggs by walking on them as an EXO
Fried Eggs: Kill 500 eggs with a flamethrower
Lucky Shot: Kill an enemy with the last bullet in your pistol clip while your primary needs a reload
No Escape: Kill an onos with a pistol while your primary needs a reload
Wiped into Shape: Kill 100 marines using wips (alien com achievement)
Raining Turrets: Kill 100 lifeforms with turrets (marine com achievement)
Hive Love: Heal the hive X times while building (I do not know the number but basically the number would be set to the maximum amount of heals a gorge could preform on a hive during the building process to minimize build time assuming they were heal spraying virtually non stop from the moment it is dropped)
Heavy Siege: Kill a non building hive in less than 5 seconds
Obamanos: Collect your free commander dropped onos, your entitled to it after 3 hives!
Because that seems what many of the achievements suggested here basically are: the silly kind of achievement that gets thrown at your face simply by playing the game. Not inspiring, just there to give people a fix. Then there are those that basically do the same but require so much play time that the majority of players will never get to them before they are fed up with the game. (See any TF2 achievements with "1,000,000" in it.)
The only good achievements are those that actually suggest alternative playstyles and strategies to explore. But this again comes with the risk of encouraging the wrong thing at the wrong time just for the sake of unlocking an achievement.
See for reference: http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/episode/achievements
A mass of achievements also rather hurts the motivation than a fine selection. If a little game throws 400+ achievements at me, I will simply give a f*ck about them because I won't complete them all anyway. But as soon as a game tries to tell me how to do a specific thing, I lose the motivation anyway to experience the game for myself. It destroys a lot of immersion.
I honestly prefer hidden achievements. Achievements for doing something, but receiving them is given in a delayed fashion and you do not know how you got them. For example:
Achievement - Home is where the Hive is.
Secretly gained by Gorge players who participate in several "hive growings" by heal spray.
You'll Never Take Me Alive - Gloriously commit suicide by jumping over the edge before receiving a fatal blow.
But seriously, I find achievements to be soulless, life-sucking abominations that detract from the actual game. Surprisingly, the only achievements I have enjoyed come from Killing Floor (as mentioned here already). They are actually difficult and encourage you to experiment by doing fun/different things. Such as getting a HS on a Siren with an undetonated LAW Rocket.
If achievements were to actually make it into NS2, I would like to see them incorporated as challenges, not as milestones (such as kill x amount of skulks).

And of course Comm achievements.

Achievement - Home is where the Hive is.
Secretly gained by Gorge players who participate in several "hive growings" by heal spray.
The commander only cares for the victory screen at the end.
