    [UPDATE]

Version 0.36 beta available for build 228!

    Changelog:

    - Added simple round end awards. Made basic system for it with some test awards.
    - Change: TournamentMode is now set in ns2stats config file.
    - Added admin commands to change most ns2stats settings, admin commands do not make changes into config file (includes save command thou).
    - Fixed last round info message which contains link or other info. It was not showing up always.
    - Added login code generation on my account page, when page is visited first time by player, you will get pin-code which you can use in game for ‘stats login <code>’-command. Currently allows you to hide your stats page from public.
    - Fixed skulk and gorge accuracy. Misses and hits were not registering properly and accuracy was higher than it was supposed to be.

Such a shame about the whitelist thing

It would be nice if commander-purchased eggs showed up on the Resources Used graph. With the prevalence of quick onos drops, its a pretty important for understanding a match to see when and how many eggs were purchased by the comm.

    Ooooh stats :)

Can we get time-dependent winning stats? Like the percentages for under 5 min, under 20 min, under/over 40 min etc?

I setup ns2stats on one of my servers and it seems to be doing quite a bit of log spam by repeating player chat

Seemed to start pretty early and get progressively worse as long as the server is up. Full server log here: <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5490563/Seattle3_11042012.txt" target="_blank">http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5490563/Seattle3_11042012.txt</a>

Thanks for the log, that's script issue is something we need to look into at least, i don't think that chat spam matters much, well should be able to fix it anyway in next version.

NS2Stats will be unavailable for an unknown period of time due to a disk failure. We are not sure if we will be able to recover the data. We will also use this downtime to change some of the technical and logical details in the system.

    We will keep you posted.
  • ZeikkoZeikko Join Date: 2007-12-16 Member: 63179Members, Squad Five Blue, NS2 Map Tester
ns2stats.org is up and running again. Unfortunately we were not able to recover the data from the hard drive and had to start from scratch with an empty database.

Also some changes have been made to the mod and the website. The server admins don't need to login to the website to get a server key anymore. All this is done automatically now.

More detailed changelog will follow soon.

    [UPDATE]

<a href="http://ns2stats.org" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org</a> is back up after hard disk failure. During downtime we changed how server keys are handled and made it more automated process. Servers will get keys themselves during first start up after mod has been enabled.

    There are new install instructions for NS2Stats available in <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=100497976&searchtext=" target="_blank">workshop</a> and in ns2stats.org <a href="http://ns2stats.org/server/admin" target="_blank">my servers</a>-page (requires steam login).

Changing MOTD and way to optain server key has been changed, old ns2stats enabled servers only need to use new way to edit MOTD.

    Version 0.37 is out.

    Changelog:

    - Added more awards
    - Made client side award list bit better.
    - Fixed error in data resend. Sometimes caused errors in console.
    - Automated server key process.
    - Added new config file: ns2stats_advanced_settings.json, this file will include settings, which majority should not need to change.

Regarding whitelisting... Haven't heard anything for 228 (and it wasn't as of 2 days ago).
Do you guys think it will be by tomorrow in 229?

Is there an example of a proper config file(s) somewhere? More documentation on the config files would be helpful.

It should work after you have played a game on ns2stats enabled server with minimum of 10 players or logged on to <a href="http://ns2stats.org" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org</a> (your player needs to exits on ns2stats database). Command needs to be typed in game after you have joined on your server, you also need to have rights to use that admin command, so you should see that command in sv_help if you have correct rights.

Last time when I tried combat with ns2stats, combat mod was not working correctly. We are working on making the ns2stats to work with other mods like combat better. So this might be issue with conflicting mod files.

I'm having trouble getting multiple servers to show up the 'My Servers' section of the website. I've done the required steps (running ns2stats, had can with 10 or more people, typed sv_verify_server afterwards) and only one of the servers show up. I think part of the problem is that ns2stats isn't detecting the port of the server (under Port it just says unknown) and I've setup the servers such that four servers are running of the same IP, but different ports, e.g.
    Server 1 = IP:Port1
    Server 2 = IP:Port2
    Server 3 = IP:Port3
    Server 4 = IP:Port4

Is there some way I can manually set the different server ports in ns2stats so it will recognize them?

Servers should show up on your my servers page after they have been launched once with mod and you should be able to claim them right away by joining on them and using the command. Every server needs to have different config_path setting, so they have different config files, and if you copy paste ns2stats_config files then stats won't work correctly, because multiple servers would start to use same unique key.

Setting port:ip manually is not possible atm, maybe later if we can't get them properly with current system.

It must be problem with admin config file, since if you have access to all admin commands and ns2stats is enabled it will show up in sv_help. Other mods might cause problems with this, thou they should not.

How to use admin commands is explained in ns2 server wiki/server help files. We could link those help files to our instructions, but we won't rewrite them.

At the moment you don't gain much even when using that sv_verify_server, your name will only appear next to your server in <a href="http://ns2stats.org" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org</a>, currently there are no extra features for that. So its completely optional command to use.

I have my server through BlueFang. Since everything is through their FTP, will I have to download the server.exe, edit it, and re-upload it? Or is there another way?

I think you should still be able to follow these instructions: <a href="http://ns2stats.org/server/admin" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/server/admin</a> (You need to be logged in to ns2stats.org to see them)
