    Cool, but why on a Friday instead of the weekend?

    I guess competitive NS2 players are going to have to suddenly come down with the flu on Thursday night (assuming they're lucky enough to have sick days).

    Edit: Wasabi verified it's on 10/13 (Saturday), not 10/12.

    To confirm - Despite my idiotic typo, the tournament is taking place on October 13 - Saturday. Image should be changed, it may be cacheing though.

    Spaces are strictly limited. Teams from all regions are welcome to email tournaments@unknownworlds.com. All possible efforts will be made to create fair server ping environments.

    Nice to see a new tournament, of course.

    Word of caution though. The way the balance is right now, and with the changes that are being put into b221, it is going to be almost impossible for the top teams to win alien rounds against each other. Tournaments being decided by coin-toss is not fun for anybody, so you may want to consider if the game is actually in a state where it's possible to have a fair competition before you go through with big profile tournaments like this.

    I guess another option is for somebody to make a competitive balance mod, but that requires that somebody actually does the work.

    i think that server locations will be chosen based on the teams to give each team an equal chance to play under fair circumstances.




    it's great to see that ns2 gets some attention in e-sports, hopefully everything works fine and we can watch and play a great series of matches!

    Can we get some casters that doesn't view every skulk kill as the most amazing frag ever and screams every time something mildly interesting happens. Lets get one that actually provides the viewer with strategic analysis or at least some play by play?
