i'm wondering if bullets come from the guns or from the point of view. Might be interesting to have a skulk climb up between the guns where they couldn't get shot...
By watching vids of exosuit, I am quite happy with its implementation:

Damage seems quite modest, I would almost say poor with one minigun. The advantage seems to be unlimited ammo.

Slow movement is good. Not being able to use phasegates is good.

Chassis looks nice, and very different unlike NS1 exosuit which kept you in the same gameplay as a normal soldier.

No welder while in exosuit means need normal marines for support at all times. No endgame exospam like NS1, no welder circle-jerking.

Gorge seems to be the best counter, giving the little guy a nice role since he is useless against jetpackers. Funny how that got reversed.

Two real issues though: 1) If you beacon, do exosuits beacon aswell? Or are they too big? That would be a significant disadvantage, but could present interesting situations. 2) Why do weapon and armour upgrades no affect exosuits? I noticed its 390 armour at all times, and the upgrades are shown in red (not in affect). Surely this makes the exosuit powerful early-game, crap late game?

I don't believe there is such a thing as early game exosuit. it strikes me as an end game tech. I wouldn't be suprised if it took 3 tech points to get.

Testing with cheats on, but this is what I've gotten.
1 weapon Exosuit and 2 weapon Exosuit require only two tech points. Three tech points to fully upgrade exosuits isn't required. Exosuit 1 costs 20 t.res (5 cheaper than jet packs), Exosuit 2 costs an additional 20 t.res (40 t.res in total) Exosuits start at 300 armor. Each armor upgrade gives 90 armor. A3 exosuit has 570 (for those bad at math). 3.71 Movement speed. Armory repairs exosuits. MAC repair rate is really quick on an exosuit.
Just played 2 games. I'm surprised there aren't more people talking about how unbelievably awesome Veil is.
The exos are ###### amazing. Seriously, this implementation is like how I dreamed they would play. It's like a power loader from aliens with more armor and firepower.
I've done everything but play the Exosuit in 217 and it's all AWESOME!
My issues list: - %Health on buildings and units is practically useless now. Was that your intent? I shows up above, but you have to look up to see it and sometimes it doesn't show. - Having ALT-click instead of SHIFT-click on the map is really screwing up my comm game. I use ALT for talk most of the time. I also can't ALT-click [signal] on the view (only the map).
Haven't played much yet, so just a few things I noticed.
- Most corridors and rooms of ns2_veil feel small and cramped. 'System Waypointing' is a prime example: Hologram in the center, multiple large pedestals in the already small room and very narrow exits. The western approach to the middle hive is also so small that when you enter it, the exit is already in your face. Good job on preserving the overall layout and vent system though.
- Hearing the female voice acting on the marine side was a letdown. The way she pronounces 'Infantry Portal' makes me cringe. It's like she has a bad latino accent. Surprising, I thought it was the same voice actress as in NS1?!
Hate mini map as comm and in HUD cant see anything.... Not sure if your trying to achieve something but as a RTS in part there is no need to make a comm job hard... Who would design a comm chair to be intentionally inefficient.
Happy note, while initially was depressed by the shift from suit to mech it was much fun to play... (what does the red button do)

Glad your experience has got better Neil! :-) We can't control player's swearing but we will promise to continue working on the game and performance up until release. Cheers!

Aw yeah!
edit: and of course every single server fills up instantly :D

I upvoted you on Youtube, but I have no clue how to do that on reddit.
Do I have to possess a r/account to vote?
