Hello all,
Today I write with joy as I am able to bring my server back online. When I took it offline less than two months ago, I did put out a note asking for someone with the resources to help me bring it back online. I had a few people reach out to me offering various levels of support, and one of those was from Khyron. He was able to put me in touch with Ishamael who allowed the server to live at Monash Uni. It is now up and running, and should be for the foreseeable future.
I'd like to extend my sincere thanks to both Khyron and Ishamael for allowing this to happen. It's great to see what the community can achieve to continue my NS2 addiction.

I'm having an issue though, Monash 1 works just fine, but I can not connect to Monash 2, I get permanently stuck in the Authenticating phase. Super frustrating when our community has shrunk enough to only begin filling one of the servers and half the time I don't have access to it :(

I'll contact you tonight on steam, try and work this one out. I was kind of hoping this was an intermittent issue, it might have something to do with the new network, not sure yet.
Literally when AusPure went down playing NS2 for Australian's on a okay server was very difficult, and I didn't even bother playing there for awhile. Also thank you to Alchemist for sticking with it and putting up his private server during that dark period :)
Cheers guys for keeping the Aus NS2 alive.
Your effort is greatly appreciated by this member the southern hemi's NS fan base.
1. You should turn on map rotations, since playing a single map over and over has pretty much lost its luster
2. I noticed some severe choke issues after a while with a full server (i.e. choke would go to 100% for 60+s and half the server would timeout/leave). I wonder if this might be a connection issue?
Yea, i find that sometimes alot of people will crash at the same time at (seemingly) random times. I'm skeptical it's a connection issue as the game actually crashes generally for people all on the same team and the send report window will popup. Or would timeout and packetloss actually cause the game to crash due to the nature of ns2's client side prediction? Client log doesnt show anything.
Maps like <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=115752" target="_blank">Kleos</a>, <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=115214" target="_blank">Turtle</a> and <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=113658" target="_blank">Triad</a>.
And map rotation guide on the wiki - <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/wiki/index.php/Dedicated_Server#Map_Rotation" target="_blank">Link.</a>
Edit: Its also real simple to setup (just need to put the mapcycle.txt file in the proper place). Let me know if you need help.
And what do you mean not with Docking, is it not working properly?
Any one need a viable gorge. Combat wombat.
Owch, so true! I am a bit late to every party at the moment! :-(
Send me a PM with your steamID.

I'm working on it, appears to be a networking issue.
Trust me on this line: it frustrates me more than you.
How come internode, GA, 3FL aren't putting up a server or 2? Maybe once NS2 becomes official on steam?

Internode actually has some servers up at the moment, but they're limited to 12 slots and the performance isn't that great. NS2 servers have some beefy requirements, but it's getting better.

Because the server hardware requirements are beyond what they use for their game servers.
Edit: I should refresh pages before replying to them :P
its what i play on :)
