Seriously, I doubt the NDA police are checking UWE. If they are, well, it's not like there's been code posted, or any major reveals, or anything that isn't public domain with 30 seconds on YouTube as of yet.

and with this said, i want to mention the serious bugs PS2 still has, we got told we got a toned down, old build to toy around with and they only test the downloading, patching and launching of the game.
i expect this to be the same bs excuse as the one the BF3 developers gave their testers to chew on after they complained about the serious issues their game has. the release build was like..identical to the beta version.
lets hope we will see a radical changed build when the closed beta opens, focused on gameplay mechanics, and ironing out the tanks flying across the horizon at sunset, as scenic it may look, and huge junks of inconsistent enviroment, and misplaced buildings..
oh, the the 2 other still missing continents.

To be fair, I only have trouble with this kind of thing because they suddenly start using the "secret question" for things OTHER than password retrieval. "Keep your account secure" they say. "Don't share your data with anyone" they say. Yeah, but you want to give access to my account to anyone who happens to know my mother's maiden name or something.
Game is amuzing so far (Tech tests and so far into Beta). However my only gripe was with yesterday's patch. Had to tweak with my settings to stop the crashing every 5 minutes (INI tweaks everything to ultra..).

What was my first school? Was it PS 128? Was it P.S. 128? Was it Public School 128? Or was it the name of my pre-school? Sodded if I remember WTH I said.
What about my dad's first name? Was it chris? Chris? Christopher? or was I being a clever sod and saying Charles (technically his first name, but never used)?
My mother's maiden name? Well, was this before or after I figured out what her actual maiden name is? And how did I capitalize it?
And all of the "What is your favorite <X>" questions are just terrible. Who the hell has the same favorite band/song/movie/book 5 years down the line?
If you want secure passwords that you will never forget, come up with a stable substitution cypher and then just use it on normal words/phrases and write those down (the words/phrases, not the cypher). Dr4g0n'5L41r will not be brute forced in a reasonable amount of time, and if you don't use simple leet speak no one is going to get your password because you wrote down dragon's lair.
btw, the rant is at least partially because I still lack a beta account :P
Trust me, at the moment you're not missing much. It's fps laggy, buggy, crashy, unbalanced and 90% of features are missing or certain mechanics need changing/ripping out completely.
