<div class="IPBDescription">CONCEPT</div>EXOSUIT

It can have miniguns
nice.

NOW for the aiming I really hope that it's not standard swing mouse click shoot

SIMPLE ANALOGY
make dual miniguns act like 2 sentry turrets that you controll separately by left or right clicking somewhere

I imagine the exo slowly advancing while constantly shooting with the miniguns which don't aim at the same target
you got the left one shooting at that harvester over in the front and the right one locked on to a skulk or something
skulk gets killed
You then move your mouse over the harvester and right click the right minigun aims at the harvester
You left click in the middle of a door way over to your front right, the left minigun aims at the doorway.

Epicness?
the shoot button for exo could be like...... space ... or something.

Now if you're thinking LOCKING ON TO TARGETS = OP.
You only have 2 miniguns.
if you get swarmed you're basically done
and if an onos shows itself. you better aim both miniguns at it. battle of the giants.

I really don't want the exo to just be a large heavy armored marine

ONOS + Gorges == EXO + a few marines

AND MAYBE you could link up both miniguns I guess using like R to link / unlink the 2 miniguns. while linked I guess you could aim like a regular marine.

Thoughts?

I don't agree. Minigun = higher damage rifle. Dual miniguns = minigun shooting twice as fast.

    Dual miniguns = 2 miniguns.
1 on each arm of the exo or something
HONESTLY we need to see some concept art of the exo.... like... now. lol.

Of course the model for dual miniguns are two miniguns. But the effect for the player should be either double the rate of fire or double the magazine capacity. But other than that it should not differ.

Maybe for when the dual miniguns are linked.... you do realize what lua can do right?...... pretty much everything.

    Seems difficult to use.

It would look awesome to watch a heavy shooting at two different things at once, but I don't see an elegant solution for making that a fluid and fast-paced experience for the player doing the shooting.

I do like the idea of each minigun being tied to a mouse button: Hold left mouse to fire the left gun, hold right mouse to fire the right gun, hold both to fire both. Simple, intuitive, and gives advanced players a way to actively manage their dps output versus their ammo consumption/etc.

That is how I expect it to be since as I understand it you are going to be able to have one minigun and one railgun. Would be odd to fire those on the same mouse button.

I guess shared ammo between the guns vs each gun having it's own ammo supply would be an interesting debate, and actually effect gameplay.

Having a high res-cost suit that could essentially 'tank' would bring some well needed late-game balance. When marines get stuck in one room turtleing and aliens are constantly attacking them from both sides, the tank like exosuit could help make a real push instead of delay inevitable defeat.

    Would love to see this...

Step 1. Press 'Lockdown' mode key, feet plant into ground - no movement.
Step 2. 2 mice one for each arm/gun aiming independently.
    Step 3. Unleash Hell!
