Haven't been around for the last 20 or so builds, but this one looks pretty good.

I keep updating the changelog as we figure out what else was added. Yep, the pistol fast-fire "exploit" was fixed.

I really hope fps have improved, onos/jp can wait so long fps is better.
And lets not forget I'm still looking forward seeing ns1 alien style movement in ns2...
Could we possibly be getting a map based on the planet of Kharaa with a terrain similar to the forests on Earth?
Probably not though, I'll keep dreaming for an open map; but for now I'll enjoy these hallways.
Seems like for some reason everyone ping skyrockets.. The servers tick rate is 30 but our pings are 500+

While I'm waiting, try to open the editor and is not available. It must be because ns2 is changing many files also the spark editor?
My main criticisms are two things which were fine before 189 but since then have changed for the worse.
The first is sound. Before 189 the sound was generally fine but then it changed and now everything sounds like it's far away and faded. It's really annoying, I just wish you would change it back to the way it was before. I really dislike sounds being dampened when they are around the corner. It sounds very artificial and makes it very difficult to use sound to locate the position of the enemy. IMO the sound should simply fade at a distance the same as source games. I also dislike the sound being altered when you have low hp, but that's a minor complaint.
The second thing is skulk movement. I feel like since the animation system change skulk movement has became worse. It feels like you are sliding around more and sometimes the movement gets jerky and control is taken away from you for a second or two when wallwalking and changing between surfaces. Before the animation system change I thought the skulk was fine from a first person view, in fact I felt like it was one of the most responsive classes in the game. It was just the third person animations that were a bit weird. Now, the movement feels different and less responsive and the third person animations are still weird. I really think you should revert the skulk movement back to the way it was before and rework the third person animations completely (as I feel they are pretty important to get right as the skulk is the main alien class - it needs to look nice and smooth climbing the walls).
