Hi,
My normal key works in steam fine, and if I try and put it in again it says it is already activated. Ok so far..
When I try and put in my black armor DLC code it complains that this code has already been used by another steam account, and thus I can't activate with it!
Have you by any chance sent out duplicate keys?

I have a quad core 8GB server sat in the data-center waiting to run a server on too, but i'm not going to set it up while I've not got a valid black armor code.
Oh, I've tried emailing them MANY times, and they don't respond with anything but pre-formed emails telling me to do ###### I've already done at least 10 times to try and fix this. Seriously--the CD key you guys emailed me is already in use. GIVE ME A UNIQUE KEY, instead of one that you mailed to 500 other people. This is ridiculous. For all the time I've invested in playing NS1 and playing around with NS2, I think I deserve my own key. That, and I ###### PAID $40 for a unique key anyway! God damn it, I'm mad.

wow its been a few days. uwe is a small team, they're trying to fix bugs while sorting out these keys at the same time. show some patience, you;ve missed out on a few days of not being able to connect to servers.
and shoot-yourself-stupid as it seems.

If you can run the alpha properly (without hacks and crap) from steam.exe your key has probably been generated after valve supplied them with the generator for ns2.
I have emailed, posted on facebook etc. I think the problem is that because they are so busy they are glossing over my emails assuming that I am one of the stupid people who is trying to put the wrong key in.
Therefore I am posting on the forum to try and raise awareness that there is an issue with their key generation generating duplicate keys.

UWE is obviously not here to cheat anyone out of their keys. Hoopin and hollering won't get it don't any faster either.
We can all understand being upset that you can't check out Alpha on day-one, but there is no reason to be this upset, unless you have some kind of personal anger issues.
Your key will get worked out LONG before Alpha is over. As you can see above, even the primary coder for the game is involved in getting their customers set straight. Have patients.

Nobodys forcing you to download it,email the address that max posted (max@unknownworlds.com) and explain whats happened im sure they will sort it as soon as they can.

Well, i did order the special edition with the overgrowth bundle.. but in my email it says that when ive activated my key it should say in DLC that i got Black Armor and it's true i got the black armor DLC. The thing is that why did some people get two keys? :O

Yeah, it does.
If you have ordered that, it's key includes the DLC automaticly, if you didnt you have to unlock it through a seperate key.
Meh, now I have to dig out my overgrowth key to check it on steam.

The issue was that I think this was not made well known enough when Alpha launched. Causing a lot of confusion and upset.
