NDA on testing, alpha, beta ?

Hello,
my question is very clear: During testing, alpha or/and beta phase are they going to be any form of restriction like NDA or limitation in the publication of screenshots, talking to friends/other people ? Will we be free to talk about NS2 and let us spread the first information about the content even in the first (not final) stage of the game ?
Is there any official announce about it or what do you think ? Is it good or bad ? To protect the game from bad opinion or from stealing ? Who knows.

2. With how any many thousand pre-orders keeping the beta secret would be both pointless and really hard to do.
Do it. They could use the money.
1. There's no Engine Test right now... It's just a scam to make more money from pre-orders (same can be assumed for the Coming-To-Steam announcement since it was well known that so many people were waiting for NS2 to come to steam before they would pre-order).
2. They don't trust the community so they are just conducting the engine test with people from Steam (that valve offered as part of some unknown deal to get NS2 on steam in exchange for 40% of profits or something).
3. The NS2 devs made the announcement too early and there's no engine test going on right now. Actually they made the announcement way early in twitter where they said their new goal was to get something small and playable into our (only special-edition-standard pre-order so not my standard-edition-preorder) hands.

1: UWE has been good to their word in the past. Stop trolling.
2: UWE is active in the community so they certainly appear to trust them. Valve only gets 30% (I think) profits off of games they sell other than their own, no exceptions. Troll.
3: This is plausible... They may have jumped the gun and encouraged people to believe Alpha will begin any moment when it is months away or more. I don't know.
I'd prefer to think that the Alpha will be released in the next month or so. It seems likely to me.

Stop lying to yourself
FocusedWolf = Troll :)
I dont think preorders are testing already. ATM my guess is that they are testing with close friends / NS1 staff or whatever.
Also, they said they gonna expand the engine test to NS2 preorders shortly, which in unknown time means like a month ;)
By now we UWE got their own valve-time but as long as they aren't remaking the whole game like they did with half-life everything is fine :D
Who buys a game to engine test? Seriously, every post you ever make just hurts my head.

4. stop talking
I'd preorder for that.
Riiight.
Wouldn't know exactly, stopped working on it a few years back. I know it still in production though and nearing completion.
There most likely won't be, but there's no reason they can't have a NDA.
As for NDA - if they were going to have one they would have by now.
What will the Engine Test provide that the Editor doesn't already?
Or the gameplay video that's already been put up by UWE?
If there's an NDA ... I would be very, Very, VERY surprised.
Considering the amount of information freedom the devs have already shown what with releasing the editor and so much development information I would be surprised if they NDA the alpha, as long as it looks good enough it will probably generate more good publicity than bad, especially considering the small team and the quality we've observed so far.

LOL!
As for NDA. I don't see how that would be in their best interests to start suddenly hiding info.
