If the slide ability stays, i hope that when it is used the characters camera goes to thirdperson for the duration of the slide, and as the gorge slows down it zooms back into firstperson.
As for saying the gorge shouldn't be mobile because he is support, i say boo. Although i dont know how different the gorge is going to be in NS2, in NS1 he moved rather slow and died easily. If the gorge wants to slide in and heal some team mates and then slide away, then so be it. I cant see the gorge being a more effective killer in NS2, only as a heal and run away class, and set traps.
gorge can spray the floor, making it slippery, throwing marines off balance, making their aim shake like wild. to belly slide you just hold crouch, that makes you drop on your glowing belly. that doesn't bring you anything when not on a sprayed floor or standing still.
to belly slide the gorge has to spray the floor infront him, run forwards and hit crouch while continuing to spray. to stop simply stop spraying or get up. when the gorge sprayed a entire room he can freely slide all he wants. maybe spit some marines john woo style. on infestation he can slide all he wants too. down ramps he gets a speed boost, up his speed decreases on the way.

Gorges use healspray to lube the floor in front of them while they slide - you can slide as LONG as you can keep the healspray going!
On Dynamic Infestation, this grants you a speed boost, on non-infested surfaces, you get to slide at normal speed.
Thoughts?
