This happens ... I think it's because of some corrupt files in your cache (style sheets, cookies, i don't know). Just clean your browser history and cache (and maybe cookies) and reload the page or restart the browser

Someone else had this problem and logging out/logging back in fixed it permanently.
Whenever I quote someone, it breaks every bit of formatting in the person's post. This includes line breaks. Hell, if they have quotation marks in the post it breaks.
