As you guys may be able to see from my "Joined" date I'm not really a new player. I'm more of a old player come back to see what has happened since I've been gone.
I really enjoyed NS back in the 1.0xx days and I stopped playing when I became frustrated with some of the changes that had been made. The other day something reminded me of NS so I started poking around and decided to download it again. I've played a couple games and I'm trying to clean some of the rust off but I have to ask, "Where are all the servers?!" The in-game browser only shows 14-17 servers and most of them have 1-3 people. That doesn't seem like much of a game to me.
shad257: NS needs more players and servers. It's a fun and unique game, it truly is. If more people knew about NS they'd probably get hooked just like the rest of us. Hello, My name is Jess. In Game I am known as Angel Eyes. Which I pulled that name from the movie: the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in case if you are wondering. I fricken love this mod. IMO it rivals the quality of Counter Strike, but unfortunately doesn't have the same fan base. I seem to be having lag issues. I have DSL but the lag sometimes takes away from some great moments, it chops up the what should be some really fast paced action. So any help on that would be much apreciated

Post a topic detailing your problem in tech support. Include if the choppiness/lag happens only when you're around players or just at any time (even if you're on an empty server). Welcome to the nuclear winter.
Hello. I am Ceteral, as my name states. I hail from Mesa, Arizona. I learned about Natural Selection from a co-worker named hybrid and a zesty mad russian. I'm not technically new, but I haven't played NS in over year. A lot has changed, mostly that I migrated all my systems to Ubuntu Linux, so I'll be trying to install Steam shortly. It's good to see some familiar faces.
I'm not really new to NS but I AM new to this particular community. Natural selection was the first FPS (yes, first... someone recommended it) I started playing a while back and have loved it since. Well, until all I could find was ###### modded servers with extra menu poo. I visited the main unknown worlds/ns website and saw that Natural Selection 2 was mentioned so I just HAD to sign up and find out more... ;} I used to play on the NS armslab server as Stella. And uh... I haven't played an FPS since Natural selection either... O.o
I work at a computer shop and I'm trying to major Media arts and animation through the art institute. :}

hello all. i would just like to say that i HAVE played natural selection before, but at that time i was still in elementary school (silly me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />) lolz. after playing NS for my 2nd year the computer created a new version of my OS which i beleive was XP/HE for windows. After installing and buying all the stuff for it i could not log back onto NS. its been at least 4 years since i have last even TOUCHED natural selection, and since hen im sure there are much more than the basic skulk,fade,gorge, and onos. Well, I am rather new to this community (I had an account on the older forums with a 30 or so posts on my back - after spam-deduction of course), but not to NS! I played NS as soon as it came out. Than, as soon as the polish community web-site got created I've been part of it, posting news on the site and even made a polish illustrated-manual (marine part of it) for 1.04 version (at the time I had a nick name Xav!er, in case anyone remembers).
At the time when combat started to cause havoc all around the place I had to limit myself to an hour or so a week of knife-slayin' sweetness (aka NS) due to dull, personal-life responsibilities like getting through high-school to get into a good Uni etc.
Now, don't got time to play NS (because, suprisingly, I need study hard to get a good degree in a good Uni, so I can have a good job in the future! nightmare never ends it seems ;p), but I try to be up-to-date with whatever my favourite dev's (hetero-hugs, hugs, hugs!) come up with.
Who are you? Well, my name is Wesley. I am a high school senior currently, and I pretty much kill time by playing vidya games and playing the Saxophone in my High School's Jazz band and messing around with that with Audacity/Reason. Not really sure what I'm going to do after I graduate, but it'll probably be something to do with Computers and/or music.
Where are you from? I was born in New Jersey, then when I was about 10 my family moved to Northeast Florida(more specifically, Fernandina Beach).
How did you learn about Natural Selection? I honestly can't remember. I seem to recall talking about it in vent with some World of Warcraft guildmates a year or 2 ago and I've had it installed ever since. I only recently started really playing again, just lurking random servers and this forum.
