    If you listened to all the podcasts it seems as though they kinda eluded that they were somewhat tired of making podcasts. So either expect really short late saturday podcasts, or none at all from now on is the gist im getting from how things have been going. It's a shame because regardless of good content or bad content im sure the core of the ns community still enjoys them either way. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tiny.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::onos::" border="0" alt="tiny.gif" />

    Yeah guys sorry there's no podcast today. We had a super busy day today and didn't have time to record one. We're not tired of making them though! Good things are afoot.

    I would rather have a meaningful podcast full of information and discussion, then weekly podcasts full of nothing... If there is none chill out.

    exactly.
    its pretty fair to say that if there is no podcast then they are hard at work on ns2.

    Careful you might upset some of the fanboys, by mearly wondering why there is no podcast. So to anyone who flames obsid for wondering he simply has more interest in ns updates then you do. Personally I am just not going to check the website but once a month from now on. That way it wont be a let down if nothing is posted =)

    I just talked to Max, there won't be one this weekend, but they are looking at one for early next week.

    I don't know any other developer that keeps their community as up to date as UWE. So I wouldn't (want for a better word, possibly mind?) care if they never made a podcast updating us on features etc. Why? I'm not so interested in this fascination in hassling developers for information, I would rather let them get on with their job.

    I definitely appreciate the podcasts, at the same time I appreciate the podcasts not getting in the way of your development more. Judging by the activity on these forums, you don't need the podcasts to keep most of the members here.

    I'd also rather see content-rich infrequent news updates than filler every week.

    Honestly there's no reason to start accusing the devs of slacking off - if they were, they'd only be hurting themselves as this is their company, and beyond that, it'd become glaringly apparent very quickly if nothing were happening behind the scenes - especially with the frequency of news updates they've implemented recently.

    Here's looking forward to the next update. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lerk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::lerk::" border="0" alt="lerk.gif" />

    Devs slacking off? Entirely up to them how they use their production money and free time. I won't pass judgement I'd just merely be disappointed if I never got NS2 at the end as much as they'd be disappointed they never got it out in the end if it all went *belly up? Seriously, developers are people too, they aren't the government who should be doing something; they're people who make a game because it's what they like to do, they enjoy it, they enjoy entertaining others and I'd imagine they get pay out of it too.

    * Apparently t.i.t.s was censored

    As do I. I think all of the fans appreciate the blog updates, but remember that's not UWE's most important usage of the updates: it's a marketing tool that can get others interested in the game even though it hasn't released.

    My theory is that the more frequently updates are released the more people will start following regularly. It doesn't even have to be signifigant. Heck if people on YouTube and MySpace can get huge fanbases from simply chronicling their daily lives... I mean, Max, do you realize how many people would just tune in out of curiosity if we got regular insight into a game's development? I realize the difficulty is in making the broadcasts regular -- keeping with it. But it might be worth considering the benefits too.

    Me, personally, I'm beginning to lose interest in the forums + I have higher priorities. So eventually, all I'll be coming for are progress updates, and possibly making a comment post for blog updates.

    I'll stick around a while longer though.

    Sorry for the lack of updates folks, we've been exceptionally busy. Between GDC and some other stuff that's been brewing, we've had our hands full.

    We'll be back this Friday (or before) with some news to share!
