    That's incredibly nice of him. I wonder what kind of crappy ammo that the Iraqis are using, though, if it can't even penetrate body armour.

    What is the man in the video saying? "Allah Arkbuhk" or something like that? I wonder if he's repeating what he was saying because he just realized what he did. Doubt it, though: it could very well be him wishing the medic dead, for all I know.

    The incident was filmed by the shooters, according to the article. They sometimes video the attacks for propaganda use.

    I imagine after the sniper team was wounded and captured, we found the video camera. This is apparently an edited version of a longer video used in a commander's update brief.

    It was a Dragunov according to the article. Probably a PSL or some other similar rifle. They fire 7.62 x 54r, which is a great deal more powerful than what the AK-47 fires, 7.62 x 39.

    There is body armor that will stop it; Level III Armor stops multiple 5.56mm, 7.62 x 39, and similar threats. Level IV Armor stops .30-06 armor piercing (7.62 x 63 AP).

    The soldier in the video is wearing Interceptor body armor with SAPI plates. Among other threats, it will stop 7.62 x 54r (as seen in this video) and multple AK-47 rounds.
