Why don't people like macs? I don't know, why don't people like Windows? Or any of the various other OSs out there?
I think that the MacOSs have all been pretty good from a user interface perspective, and MacOS X sacrifices some of that but gains stability and flexibility. Unfortunatly [WHO]Them is right, apple has decided to throw in a bunch of eye candy crap at the cost of performance. Not that Windows isn't just as, if not more guilty of this, but you can disable more in Windows.
MacOS= Least customizable;more stable; not too difficult to use; cruddy game titles Windows= Still quite stable; more customizable; many games, easy to use Linux= Extremely stable, extremely customizable, incredibly difficult to use if you're new. Not many more game titles than MacOS

PC's only sell better because they have game support. (The average person)

Well actually there does, because macs actually run games far better then PC's they just don't have the support to prove it much beyond, WarCraft 3 and WoW, at the moment. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

See, I can make claims without any backup whatsoever too.
Take a look at Doom III, it's absolutely horrible on even the best of the G5s. Not to mention that Apple charges much more money for their systems. 3000 for a dual 2.5 ghz G5 with 512 RAM and a 9800 pro?
I can get a fully decked out Opteron rig for that same amount, and that would bury the Mac in everything except Mac optimized video editing software.
Then there's the fact that OS:X still isn't widely supported by most software developers. Apple had the upper hand in the past and they blew it. GG Microsoft.
Face it, Apple makes overpriced, underpowered computers. Anything a Mac can do, a PC can do better, faster, and at a cheap price to boot. Final Cut Pro seems to be the only exception to the rule.
But if you're drawn into the UI of the Mac OS, I guess you COULD justify buying a iBook for net surfing and word processing. Anything else? Welcome to PC world.

My first 3 or so years of programming for college were on a mac and I have to say that everything the third guy said was absolutely true. Macs make absolutely no sense. I was so relieved when my school finally switched to regular PCs. It was like taking off a straight jacket.
