before its too late.
yeah so erm, since WoW is out and such other games, no one is playing NS anymore. I was just checking the steampowered stats, there was just over 1000 people playing NS.
Thats 1040 people, in the whole world playing ns.... (12:18 GMT)
And I have personally noticed a sharp drop in people playing NS since January. Especially for those of us living in europe we dont have the same player pool that you guys have over in the us.
I have also heard lots of people talking about how they cant be bothered to play b5 anymore and such.
Bassically, what I'm saying is, I think its about time the guys released the next version out to the public before its too late. You need to try to compete with these other games *WoW cough* and at the moment NS its looking as if it is digging its own grave.

1. Lots of people stopped playing once 3.0 was out. (I mean the early beta and stuff) mainly because of Blockstrip.
2. Newer games such as WoW is out.
3. The community being more and more retarted each day passed ...
There must be much more reasons to add but the 3 first reasons is already good enough imo.
As for the Beta 6 ... I haven't played since a while. (Stopped to NS 2.0b if I'm not wrong) but this version really seem to balance somes stuff and is really interesting...
So yeah better for them to take their time instead of getting a Beta with unfixed stuff.
Maybe more old player will get back when the newest version is out.
If only they Blockscript were blocking only the most commonly used scripts ahh ~
( I want my : (Healspray 2 Lastinv) and (Contruct Building and Start building it) back !

The good news is that list is almost complete... So B6/3.0 is very, very close to a release...
If we are still discussing this in a month, I'll be incredibly surprised, so much so that I'm willing to wager on it ... (OMG I gave the hint of a timeline, world coming to an end)
I think I know personally about a thousand people who play ns...
I don't think so.

Well you are a sucky thinker then.
Also I can´t play any pcws with my clan anymore, because they ALL play Wow, this sucks -_-
Folks, NS nets a rough hundred thousand players a month. That stat has not significantly changed in a long time. There are spikes around the releases of new versions, but generally, NS is stagnating at a pretty high standard - which is unfortunate enough, but that's a different topic.
Yes, people you know leave. It's the usual thing any multiplayer game experiences - many move on. Others come in.
We will release 3.0 final when it's done, not before. And, sorry, but there's very little you can do about that.
Classic clanners go, and retarded combat players come in. That is not a good sign.
Love that attitude. Got any facts to back it up?
we should start a second internet and not tell AOL about it.
Seriously, I am not saying, NS is dying, but many good people are leaving it, and because of combat, many bad people come.
I remember the days of Jedi Academy, where every retarded 12-year old kiddy had his own server: "OMG; HE KILD MEH, H4X KICKBAN!"
I hope ns don´t take that path, but thats up to the players.
It's a fact that every game lives, and dies at the end. Just be glad we have some players playing it. Look at TFC for instance, it's pretty much dead (I still <3 TFC)
Wait for this patch to come out, and we'll have a few waves of players coming back. It's just like that. It always was anyway
I think the most important thing that you have to find in ANY online game, is a place you like and love to play on. There is only one server that I ever play on anymore, and it's because of the people there and the admins that run it. EVer since I started playing again, I only play more because of the server. It's my home away from home
No but seriously, watching this mod grow... seeing it from the early stages of version 1 up through now, it makes me glad that I was with it from the beginning--and will be till the end. I'm not some crazy gamer who does nothign but play, but tbh, this is a mod that I'll stick with just beacuse of it's unique and amazing gameplay. It never gets old anymore. Sure, there are things that were changed/removed, but now that I think about it, it's all for good reason.
NS 3.0 FINAL ftw.

[edit] Oh, one more thing. I've been playing the B6 prebuilds... it just *feels* so final to me haha. I think when this new patch is released, not only will people deem it final, but it will bring in a whole new base of players. Sure people who are bitter about changes will leave, but that will only further prove their maturity level... getting that upset about a VIDEO GAME? Then you know you have to get a life. [/edit]

Players who play to be good at a game, don't like things they can't control in the game, like one shot kills, or not being able to see an enemy.
Where as players who play casual for fun, don't give a damn, and sadly thats the side of playerbase developers HAVE to appease, as they are the majority.... sadly.

There are few people who have replaced the clanners who left recently and have the same amount of skill.

And there are nubs like me who are slowly but surely moving up to that level.

True, there are alot of people with potential out there, and all they lack to improve is getting to play better players (ie getting introduced and incorporated into the competetive community)... the problem is that in a small comp community its hard to ge tnew people to join which in turn keeps the community small and it's just one big vicious circle...
That's where the problem lies, not a lack of potential talent or total player numbers, but I think its actually improving, The rate at which new players join up is still low, but higher than it was a while ago (note: data gathered by experience, not to be trusted).
definatly the amount of good players have fallen.
Unfortunatly there are some who are getting good, untill they get to an ns and dont have a clue.
i dont wana rant on about co tho.
if b6 is soon, as said above then thats good, its needed really.
