I do not feel like planning and setting up many months of my time to set up a large scale and quality map, and I still need practice, so I was making a siege map using that general mine/red theme... I posted it as a recruitment offer on metamod, they said I didnt show enough geometry, then they hired some other guy who made some bright DBZ maps with r_speeds of about 2 (meaning they were ridiculously simple)
@Mido (post above): Yeah that sucks. How long you been mapping tho?
@Mido: If you're free to start mapping in Summer 2005 (possibly before) I have a mapping position you could fill for the Citadel Utopia Mod. PM ftw!
Edit: Jump back again and remind yourself of who I am before you PM though, if you don't like my feedback methods you might not want to work on a Mod with me.

This is by my standards, crap and I want something helpful to change / add if you can. Based on the current way the room is (shape/space).
Edit: Dont worry about the lighting for now, I didn't gamma correct it because its likely to change with it be under construction. Although the colours blue and white will stay.

Ok well heres my first controbution to the post, Basic design and smoothing out done in 1 day. Passed onto a friend to do the texturing and lighting with this finished at the end of the second day. Pitty its a little high on the w_poly count (1100)

Remove all those needless crappy cates, you will get a much lower poly count, clean up your brushes aswell.
blue is a good color but dont overuse it.
also if theres a better rock texture available consider changing to it.
