That's the new medpack, little more gritty and less cartoony, I like it.

This is an overlay of the new eon map. It's pretty good but has many many many tight corridors. Colorful map though.

These are 2 shots of the new 3rd person reload animations. I like these the best, but it's hard to get a good capture.
Finally here are <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/pistol_clipin.wav' target='_blank'>1</a> and <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/pistol_clipout.wav' target='_blank'>2</a> sounds for the new pistol reload. Sounds a lot better in game when they're put together.

These are all the new fall sounds of the <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/skulk.wav' target='_blank'>skulk</a>, <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/onos.wav' target='_blank'>onos</a>, <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/gorge.wav' target='_blank'>gorge</a>, <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/lerk.wav' target='_blank'>lerk</a>, <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/fade.wav' target='_blank'>fade</a>, and <a href='http://www.ualberta.ca/~achari/NSpictures/HeavyArmour.wav' target='_blank'>heavy armor.</a> I'm pretty sure these are correct! The original growl is not used anymore, but the sound is still there (confirmation?).

That's the major complaint, although I myself haven't noticed it. Well, except when I was silently baconed as an onos and died in literally 2s. Then again I also suck so that may be why.
But ya, outside of some map changes there's not that much that's brand spanking new. Not like 2.0 or the addition of combat.

It is allowed - anyone playing beta6 is free to discuss it openly.
It absolutely rocks as a first chamber. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> With the 'marines in range of an SC show up on hivesite' and area of effect cloaking, you can have the effect of all three upgrades at once if you evolve focus - which can be a huge advantage.

Yes, SC first is noticeably better, particularly in combat. <b>However</b>, the major problem with SC first is still a two hive lockdown, which is impossible to break with only sensory chambers. Once all marine nozzles are electrified they're pretty well untouchable. Even with innate regen 1 hive onoses/fades can't break the lockdown.
The 2% regen is noticeable. Especially since this means that skulks can take one extra bullet at the beginning. It's a good change but nothing too dramatic.

Its really only good for when you get random bullets. It is not made to be a full replacement for Regeneration. It will take you several minutes to regen to full from a low HP. TBH, I think it was a long time coming. I mean, Our bodies heal themselves, why don't they in game? I suggested a Armor repair for marines, such that nanites mend themselves together again...or maybe only in HAs/JP it would do that about the same rate.
To sum up, It is only really useful for small amounts. Any big heal that would be needed, you still have to find a gorge, some DCS or a hive.

do it, its pretty quick and painless
i donated and was playing B6 the next morning (i had to work that night ^^) just after the site came back up.
And boy, am I excited to play b6.
Yeah, but was funny we managed to come back as far as we did, taking down hives and everything. AND it was the first time I commanded that map, naver played as marines, only twice before as alien. All in all good game tho.
Anyway, nice job NS team, I really like what I've seen of the beta so far.
especially the new pistol reload sound! I didn't really like the old one because it sounded like the USP in CS
Ya, the fades fall sound's like you dropped a huge cup of jello or something...It kinda sucks.
