I don't turn 18 for another month, so no. My brother voted for Kerry, and my mom voted for David Cobb (Green Party). I'm pretty sure my father and evil stepmother voted for Kerry.

Actualy I am not voting.

Mainly b/c I can't get out to my friken polling place b/c I have work today and I forgot to change my place when I moved....

Combine that with living in NYC and the only election I realy know much about (prez) is basicaly decided here, so I don't feel THAT bad (though I wish I could get out and vote anyway).

How do you know if you are applicable for absentee ballots?
• DiscoZombieDiscoZombie Join Date: 2003-08-05 Member: 18951Members
in a lot of states, they don't ask questions - you just request an absentee ballot and they send you one... but in the others I think you just need to send them a decent excuse for why you can't get to the polls.

in NYC the polls are open til 9 tonight! except I'm sure they'll be hella crowded that time of day =x

Went and threw my vote away. Stood in line for an hour too.

And am I the only one who thinks there is a slight problem w/ seperation of church & state and biased polling (pressuring people one way instead of another at the polls) when the polling place is a freakin church?

Not unless you also have a problem with some Philadelphia voting places being bars and abandoned buildings.

Or the one on Gerard ave. It is plastered stem to stern with pro kerry/move on posters (which is illegal)

Despite my earlier commitment to not voting, Tim Michels aired too many adds that did nothing but attack Feingold. I got so **** at him that I decided to get up and vote for Feingold. While I was at it I threw my presidential vote away on Badnarik and any Greens I could find in the the other offices.

Oh and Magnum **** me off too, I voted against that bastard for congress.

I voted! It was at a high school, and there was definitely a line that the campaigners with their little signs couldn't cross. ^^ There weren't many of them... a few for a Republican candidate for state senate, a guy with a sign for Chris Dodd (US Senate, D-CT), and a Vietnam vet with a pro-Kerry sign. Nice.

Who'd I vote for? Half-Life 2!
• ZelZel Join Date: 2003-01-27 Member: 12861Members
i wanted to vote Kerry and then a straight ticket of Libertarian (its a swing state, therefore dangerous to vote 3rd party pres this year) , but the only lib's running were congress and presidential,

to make matters worse, three quarters of the positions only had one person running!

Martin Frost or Pete Sessions?

Sent in my absentee ballot awhile ago, though my state is known for losing them. Or marking them up in favor of the person you didn't vote for. Or ignoring yours, but counting one from a person who died some time ago.

Coil, you're telling me you didn't vote for Edward Pyle as I did? You New-York-Yankees loving Commie! You could have at least voted for lolfighter.

Got my absentee ballot, filled it out, and forgot to mail it. So I just went and hand-delivered it today. At least I know that it got in safely. Went to the district center to do it, as I didn't like the look of my assigned polling place. The basement of a flooring and tile company's warehouse. :b Hell, they didn't even have any 'polling place here' signs out... only reason I found it was because I had the address.

Then again, those silly Bushites might at least hope to sneak in a california win.... *cough* somehow.

I have to wonder how many people simply wrote in "Pedro" for president.

God, Napoleon Dynamite sucked...

But remember! 2008: Schwarzeneggar vs. Hilary.

Unfortunately, The Terminator can't run for president unless we get a constitutional amendment that allows citizens born outside the US to become president. I doubt that's going to happen.
