Hillarious game, silly, but that's the way it supposed to be. The satchel thingy is a freaking tactical nuke, it seems to ignore walls and has something like a 1024 units reach, it's INSANE, at least shake the screen and do a bloody loud noise to justify the instagibing of sometimes 6-8 people.

Since the ZP forums aren't up, I'll just have to ask here.
How do zombies reach that one vent spot in that one map? I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The one humans can hide in for freakin' ever, but zombies fall down into the water. At least, I do and almost everyone else does. I've seen maybe two zombie players able to make the jump, but I don't quite get HOW...

If so, you just have to crouch jump at the right time. It's hard, but you *can* do it.

I've already spoke to Jezpuh / Jimmeh, and agreed to put up a nice dedicated pZ server once the Linux libraries are compiled.
So once that's up... we'll need a name!
I need to know what I need for a dedicated server. I dont know what kind of connection people will get, but my system specs are good enough that I could run one.. I have 1.5mb dsl. :\ It's the best I can do.

The bug where people can keep their weapons if they survive really needs to be fixed. Also is it just me or if you have a 300 ping or so is it impossible to hit a thing in the game?
When your ping reaches 300+, it's time to drop your weapons and cower on a pile of crates, on the shoulders of two other survivors... but beware, zombies love crates. Crates are zombiemagnets.
Edit: Zombies should be able to 'play dead' (ZOMG I MADEZ TEH FUNNY LMAOPLANE).
Wow, this game has got to be the funnest half-life mod ever. Even more fun than NS.
Last night, there was one round that stood out above the rest. Basically, we were slowly getting picked off on the Lab map. All of a sudden, the zombies rushed our hiding place and killed all of us bar 3, who legged it in different directions.
I had only one bullet left and wishing there was an option to use it on myself when i met a fellow called Loaded, who was running back to the spawn. There, we became trapped as the zombies closed in so we did the only thing two men could do when surrounded by zombies - We screamed for our lives like little girls over the mic. When Loaded finally fell i used my one shot and legged it yet again, running between zombie after zombie. I must have dodged a good 8 or 9 in the space of about 10 seconds.
In the end, i found myself in the long tunnel with no where to go. Zombies were on either side of me and closing in slowly, while taunting me with the chat. Then i decided on a strategy that deprived the entire zombie team of flesh - I jumped into the pit of toxic waste while screaming over the mic.

Since the ZP forums are temporarily closed due to the mod being released, I've noticed a bug when dropping 9mm ammo (yeah, 1911s use .45 rounds, but this isn't supposed to be realistic). When you drop 9mm ammo, you drop 10 rounds but when you pick it up you get back 7 rounds. None of the other ammo types do this.
Also something interesting: if you manage to collect enough ammo (not bloody likely since ammo and guns are supposed to be scarce), your speed will drop low enough so that you won't make a walking sound. Of course, if you're moving that slow no amount of stealth and ammo will save you from the horde of zombies.
One more: while soloing with sv_testmode 1, I've noticed that when trying to play zp_town, I get kicked back to the desktop with some error saying Half-Life couldn't find "flame2.spr" in the sprites folder. But the flame2.spr is in the zp_town folder inside of the sprites folder. I suppose HL does the same thing with zp_paranoid and not being able to find xsmoke1.spr in sprites/zp_paranoid.

Medium sized crates sometimes offer no protection at all , when the zombies can just jump and hit. Stacked crates are a bit better , but unless there are several survivors camping with shotguns they are easy to overcome. Worst of all , when the crates are breakable it is possible to take cover from them (by crouching) then forcibly bring the survivors to your level... the complex room-corridor-room map with a stack of crates in the human spawn is the ideal place to do that , survivors dont expect you to smash crates and stay under them

Jeah, the melee attack is a bit slow.
