20 player server where every one of the survivors has a shotgun/machinegun when they spawn = not fun. I find myself suiciding just to help the lone zombie on the other team.

heheh, i think im in that pile of human too, or perhaps on the other side as a pile of zombie <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
i love this mode, but i'm getting very frustrated by a few bugs, such as weapons respawning with the humans if they win the round, and then the weapons started respawning regardless! way too much ammo, way too many shotguns. so i got frustrated and quit, but now i feel an itch to play it again <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I'll have to check it out once I get my computer back.. *sigh* Shes no longer with us for the moment.
Looks cool, though.. would be neat if you could program in AI zombies that follow the players around if the players want to.. and the whole shoot yourself to suicide instead of getting killed by zombies idea is awsome. ;p
well it would be even more ace if on HL2 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

i loooove this mod. its sooo funny playing it together with your friends watching them jump up and down while screaming <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
i have some ideas: <span style='font-family:Impact'><span style='color:red'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>(Updated)</span></span></span>
Weapon/ammo: - I think you should add a little more ammo, just a little... - The crowbar should have a lower ROF but larger amount of damage -
Sound: - Zombies being able to say something, like just making zombie-ish sounds:P - More human sounds, like "oh god, HELP ME!" or "aaaargh, its freaking eating me" - The zombies should make an ambient breathing sound - Eh... the sound when you swing your zombie arms and hit something... *CLING* -
Maps: - <s>A little brighter maps, so you are able to see where you step </s> (might just be my computer) - Usable stuff around the map! like something moving/falling/crushing usable to kill a/more zombie/zombies with. should only be accessable by humans though. -
More will come later:P the mod is hilarious, and it have alot of potential. just a few things I would like to see:) good work!

the best part is the zombies!
but seriously, nothing is more deeply satisfying then moaning "brains" along with about 5 other guys with mics, not to mention the guy without a mic who moans 'brains' anyway. he's the best.
i'm in agreement with wall completely on this, which is...odd. for me.. i usually dont get along with people o_O
This is definately fun. Sure, it lacks quite a lot of polish and there's a few annoyances, but it's still fun. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
My recommendation (after only a few hours of playing, so bear with me) would be of course to maybe give humans some sort of ability to win, as it is right now it's still fun to cling to your slowly ebbing life, but I think ultimately it'd be a bit more satisfying if humans had a (even a remote) chance at victory.
Also, maybe I'm under false impression, but zombies speaking through mic can't be heard by humans from what i've noticed, so all the moaning in the world is pointless, they should potentially implement some sort of locational sound detection, so as that any zombies speaking through mic near present humans can be heard. Although with the ancient half life engine, I have my doubts as to whether it can be done. Or at least maybe have the zombies have a few bindable buttons that can activate different sounds (a moan/scream/growl perhaps?). Other than that, great fun to be had by all!
Edit - Oh yes, almost forgot. There should be some sort of visual indication as to whether zombie vision is on or not, maybe just having the counter in the upper right corner's eyes glow or something of that nature.
Well that's why I prefer servers with Alltalk on , your can hear zombies hunting for you , and they can hear your tortured screams <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Humans have a good chance on some maps with 10 zombie lives , if they know how to camp certain places and the zombies aren't too smart then it's very possible to win.
I presume bindable groans are going to be implemented soon...
my only complaint is the lag which is off and on, when it's off and alot of people on the server it becomes very fantic and fun very quick. aside from that I love it.

arg! im really getting frustrated by the lack of stable servers! nearly every server i've been on either crashes every round, spontaneously crashes when a random number of people come on, or are laggier then my grandma!
i love this mod and i want to play it but i cant and its tearing me apart inside! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I'm going to suggest not using Panic button for now, as i and several other PT's suspect it can cause server crashes.
There is another exploit which causes server CPU to skyrocket and then the server crashes.
If the server crashes, the only way we can fix it is if you email us with a description of what was happening when it crashes, however, you all seem very lazy.

well the panic button does cause crashes, but it only seems to happen when you dont have a weapon equipped. say, for example i use up my shotgun and toss it away, i dont automattically switch to another gun, i have no weapon equipped at all. and then if you press the panic button, with no weapon equiped, it crashes the server.
im sure it has something to do with the way it was coded to "drop all other weapons from the one equipped" of course i know absolutely nothing on the matter, so dont qoute me on that.
other then that, as it has already been said, awesome mod, i cant seem to stop playing despite the randomness of server stability.
in my few hours of experience the panic button works fine, <i>unless</i> you use it while no weapons are equipped.
Having the leet weapons in the same location every round is bad, it would be much better to have them randomly strewn around and make the humans look for them, smash crates etc. It shouldn't be too hard to implement this when there is time.
I LOVE this mod! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
It's damn funny, please keep up the good work team. ^^
When are you going to reopen the forums? Also (in my opinion) everything would be better if everything was made like 75% slower. A zombie game is about taking your shots carefully so as to not waste ammo but thats hard to do when you only have like half a second to do it.

Wow, just one day and the mod is invaded with griefers who consider it so unfair that humans lose most of the time they take it upon themselves to block, kill themselves, try to make their team mates jump into toxic slime and other nubness. If there's anything this mod needs it's a good solution to griefers,( quick and dirty: automatic perm ban for repeated suicide, no matter if it's worldspawn or jumping into toxic sludge, repeated zombie slash on a still zombie pushes him forward abit(if possible, no instagibing when pushing against other players or walls), so you can get out of the block with a little elbow grease.)
I've been to five servers just now, everything was going peachy then it crashed, no big deal I'll try another, 3 retarded blockers, no big deal I'll just pick another, suiciding zombie lamers, and again and again.
I noticed that once you find a server were it doesn't lag as badly, the amount of survivor victories rises. Probably due to the fact that you couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when your ping is over 300, while at the same time melee (zomb0) is more forgiving.
Just wait until there's a few dedicated servers around. You'll see alot more survivor wins. Especially when survivors master crackhopping and invent teamwork hax.

I allways suicide to go zombie, more fun and it makes it that tiny bit fairer for the zombies <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Love this mod, I hosted a server myself (so I could switch the bloodly map once it got stale and kick griefers) but I returned to the normal servers because of the ram eatage.
On the 16 and 12 player servers I got to try it on, it wasn't fun at all, just kinda "heee heee, die zombie.. oh wait, im out of ammo because some jacktard took them all and then didnt know how to drop it. Damn, sucks to be alive I guess.". One time I did have fun was when I camped behind the generator. However the zombies soon found me, before the ammo had respawned enough for me to have any kind of chance(which is the whole point of slow ammo spawn of course), so I got 2! Then got pwned.
Then when you're a zombie, you move so slowly its just frustrating. If both survivor and zombie speed was knocked up about 20 units/second it would be more interesting. Especially if survivors were actually faster than zombies when they have nothing on them, as was mentioned that they were(but, once in-game, I found time and again, that they were not.), before the mod was released.
This game ROCKS. I just witnessed my first Human victory! They found a good camping spot, one guy with a shotgun, three others with pistols, and one more who actually made AMMO RUNS. He dropped everything he had for extra speed, RAN to the drop points, RAN back, dropped the ammo, waited and repeated. There was nothing the zombies could do against such Teamwork Hax! Next game they didn't manage a repeat, unfortunately.
