Gamingorb Nations Cup!?!?

<div class="IPBDescription">you heard!</div> FreeZe and myself have started getting information and trying to get a system up for making a Nations Cup!
Involving a mainly forum based system for choosing teams and more information to follow at the end of the current league. looking for 8-12 teams (maybe more).

I would love to see some teams from accross the atlantic involved in this. its completely seperate from any Other past nations cups.
We'll sort ping issues etc with servers closer to the date.
If ANY nations want me to set up a forum for aiding team selection please let me know and post any questions in our forums aswell.
All advice/criticisms are welcome aswell!

is it not possible to create a team that represents the best the USE has to offer? get them scrimming regularly before the cup and then walking over the rest of the world?

Well for the topic I can't say more than "sounds good". But it will need a lot advertising.

They probably do use blockscripts because of _special hopping/running/pistol.
so mp_blockscripts 0 i hope
It does block _special bhop scripts because it blocks +jump, but it does not block _special.
Um I'm not sure of American's who would want to play in a bs_1 league. I would recommend to remove it because technically it does nothing, and not to mention those who want a _special jump script already use macros.

well, why the constant whine from some people
i'm so sick and tired of people saying: "it doesn't block everything, therefore it's useless!"
it's the same argument as for cheating-death, cheating-death is not always up to date with cheats and new "tweaks" for getting an advantage, but it surley does block easier stuff that can be made. why not use it then?
people who actually use macros instead of scripts should really consider why theyre playing if they can't do what theyre supposed to do in the game manually. do those "gamers" really think they will be able to use their "skill" in the next generation of games when scripting is out and macros won't work?
i won't care if it's going to be bs_1
and i think i speak for the whole current team sweden lineup when i say that (that lineup can drasticly be changed for this cup though, considering the way teams are picked)
there should be some americans that doesn't use scripts that is willing to play in this cup, isn't it?
Can you name me one reason why people aren't allowed to use +3jump in your gamingorb league?

coris: it's harder to time than with mwheel
zaiko: i don't need 3jump-scripts or mwheel to bunnyhop
so basicly from my sources it easier to bunnyhop with mwheel, why doesnt people stick to that then if they want an easy solution to do their bunnyhops?
it still blocks something forlorn, which isn't reallly "nothing"
i think the gamingorb servers should include sv_autoaim 1 in their server configs aswell!
in that way you doesnt have to aim either.

I like to use my spacebar because for me having aim in one hand and movement in the other hand is how I play all of my FPS games.
A +3jumps script in that sense is harmless since all it does is spam a command, and it's easy enough to spam commands on a computer. So technically bs_1 does nothing.
And if you are claiming you can bhop at top speed without a mousewheel, jump script, or anything then I'm calling a lie, because they just do not exist. You get it on video or something but untill then I don't believe that, the best american players at bhop (exigent for one) have always used the mwheel or jump script, and those guys used to fly back in the day.

bind "space" "+jump"
but for you, you have to spam the command to actually hit the space button at the right time? you should practice more my friend
i have never claimed that i can bhop in max speed spammed jumping, who would have thought anyone would be able to?
since when was bunnyhoping all about gaining max speed? i guess that's why almost noone used mwheel as skulk in 1.04?
if you want to beat the world record in gaining top speed, then fine, but you doesnt have to do it in official games using tools to make it easier?
a good skulk doesnt really have to be able to bhop, at the same time it make the skulk even better to know how to bhop for moving across the map faster or getting close to an enemy faster.
but if it as youre saying, that bunnyhoping is about reaching top speed i think youre really wrong, cause somethings you can use it fool the enemy.
deceptive movement, not just speed movement.
play the game instead of wasting time on new scripts forlorn, thats my advice.
For this to work we need everyone to spread the word to people, teamUK has already had a number of applications but a lot of other countries have seen 1 or none. Spread the word, post about it on other forums and tell your friends.
