    yes and no

the fog comes out of the machine so fast it just shoots right out the top, but when you let off on the gas the fan inside is so powerful it sucks the fog back through the outlet and out the front

in that case, what if you remove the fan and split the fog with some good tubing angles?

Make sure to send this in to Maximum PC when your done with it. I think you can win something like 1,000 or 2,000 dollars plus a case of bawlz if it's good enough. So make it really good! Plus you'll advertise NS in Max PC which would be kickass.

you should get some colored LED's (green) to shine on the fog machine so that when the smoke is rising it's green. I dunno if that would work. but green smoke would be bad ****.

    Use a light_spot entity!

but seriously, a mini maglite (hack the 3.3v source from your power supply to power it) with a colored light filter gel on it. just slightly angled behind your res node and the smoke would be terrific.

Usually smoke is used on concerts/plays/dance floors to enhance lightning so if you want the best of your smoke effect light it.

If I were you, I'd create a case, underneath the PC case, to enclose the smoke engine (motor, exhaust and fluid) and seal it through the PC case with another sealed output through your node. Dont use plastic tubings as it will melt over time, try using copper, it's flexible and tough.

WHY? because smoke/fog machines (especially cheap ones - under 1500$) produce a lot of dust, and we all kow how this is hard on PC hardware.

    Oooh OOhhh!

For the powerbutton, put on the red-blue toggle switch you see in the NS maps. Red for Power, Blue for Reboot!

    Woohoo!

ack! your casemod looks great so far, and it's making me sad, it make my crappy attempt at a "Ns2.wad' case look even worse in comparison
