you should skewer a marine through one of you fade spikes, then go back and ask if its still arlight for the kiddies world
I have an idea for the legs, though it's a bit hard to describe. I'll attempt a diagram
\| .|) /|
The straight lines are the position of your leg, the dot is just there for formatting, so ignore it, and the \)/ are places where you'll put large wads of foam or whatever material you're using to style the rest of the fade's muscles and limbs and whatnot. The ) would go at the back of your knee. Since I don't think the fade model bends his legs much in the game, you can get away with faking the form of the fade's legs in this fashion as long as you maintain a kind of stiff gait, almost goose-stepping, so it's less apparent that you have regular human legs. When you want to really perform for people a bit instead of going from place to place, and can therefore put up with a bit more before feeling uncomfortable, take large, bounding steps, still remembering to keep the legs stiff.
PS: Also, you should try to find some way to modify a plastic whistle or something with bits of paper to emulate the hissing. That'd be the bomb.

There might be a small casette recorder with a speaker included in the costume, but maybe not the first day.
And I really couldn't give two hoots if the baby Onos is crying.

Fade Diary, Day one: see post date
The Fade costume was complete 7 days before, i just needed to add the teeth to the mouth and to do some detailed painting. Wasnt in the mood for extra photo before day one, because the actual costume wasnt "tested under extreme circumstances and had a big lack of film blood to paint over places were the white wallpaint (for houses outside) started to leave the "heavy used" parts of everything thats white. The costume that "looks complete" wasnt ever tested and so long "not complete".
You cant say if a costume works as it is untill it survives one night in a park full of people. The water spitting system just worked twice when I tested it. Tthen it was "leaking" too much, wehn i was moving around. In the tests I could blow out a little abount if water for 3 meters, im so going to fix that, its fun, since the attraction they put me in is a rapid river ride! The fade feet did not work so long, they were too tight and my feet hurt, so I was a fade in shoes after the half night. In fact noone cared about the shoes, most ppl sayd stuff like"wow" "what is that?"
The monsters next to me (in the cloth coom) all asked the same, I replyed the same, and they gave back almost the same compliment: "Wow, what is that?" "Its an alien from a PC game" "oh, looks really good, and what is that part here?" Nice, but the same dialog gets boring after 30 different amazed people. Thats why i told NOONE of the park guests that i am "an alien From a PC game" when they asked me that im suppesed to be.
Heres a list of animals they thought I wanted to be costumed as, since my "neverending story" attraction tells to use your imagination: Fade - 0 - nobody recocnised me as a fade , stop that nightmare! Some kind of alien - 50 -(if not THE giger alien) good, but almost noone thought so. Pokemon - 1 - (scyter i hope) wich is actually really close when it comes to the arm blades. Dinosaur - 20 - yes, maybe a mutated raptor. Snake - 10 - yes , if you cut off arms legs and acid roket maybe. something I saw before, but cant remember - yeah whatever, ill rate that as "alien" ant-bear - 5 -okay, it has a long forehead, but... ant - 3 - im really confused that 3 different unrelated kids thought i was an ant, its not funny when you work 1 mont on a fade and they think its an ant. frog - 2 - okay, the legs, but seriously, i wasnt jumping at all. Hipopotamus - 1 - The teeth? no, theyre absolutely different, fades eat meat only, hippos plants only, now compare the teeth again: What did they teach him in scool?
Good time to thank Corr Strader for the alien concept, i never thought about that animals in it, makes it a good costume because its all andnothing, everybody sees something different in it.
The custume will alwas need some small repairs but it really works in scaring and amazing other people!!! As long as its bright (cloudy) the costume is really hot, you have to wear nothing below the upper part of it and hope (or walk) for some wind, when its dark one t-shirt below it is just right, but its way better than last year, were i got frozen.

You could fill small baloons with vinegar and shoot them out of a spud gun... That would be a pretty accuarte acid rocket...
