it did not come standard...
This game isnt about eye candy that much, but in year 2004, if you are looking for new, fresh players, you should care about how game looks, and difference is too *big*, just to trow it up, because some freaking retards. Sorry for language a typos, but this really **** me off! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Arghh...
I -believe-... I'm not sure, though. Delarosa? Confirm, deny?
The detail textures weren't actually replacement textures. They were textures that got overlayed on the standard textures to create a significant difference in both atmosphere and quality of the game. The game actually looked new with the detailed texture pack, whereas now it just looks like Half-Life. Same boring old textures, same boring old Half-Life.
Oh, well. Just lets keep this topic alive and lets persuade devs to fix it. In upcoming beta, at least. And i hope it wont take that much time, like .5 did. Lol...

Of course, not much use for it now, is there? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
