Fable looks damn good, but still. Nothing can touch the two big H's.

DARN RIGHT! Seriously, I would play Halo 2 before anything.
So for me, this thing just PWNS me.
HL2 has got me excited.
Halo 2 has got me excited.
But the ability to do ANYTHING I WANT, WHENEVER I WANT, and have it be like a REAL WORLD to the point where if my sword slashes a blade of grass one day- the next day that blade will still be cut- that I just must love it.
I agree completely. This game sounds like the own. I mean, I just, I wow.
I still want Fable though.

RPGs aren't weird things to get excited over any more than FPSs or RTSs are. Look at how many people are excited over WoW or HL2.
It does look exciting (as long as the using gestures thing isn't to obtuse), I hope my Xbox can run it.
[As funny as that sounds, my Xbox has been crapping out on me a bit as of late - note that my Xbox is from December 27th, 2001 - And some games don't like to work. I think it's how they're encoded - since my Halo which is scratched to Hell, sent to Pluto and returned by the USPS works fine; but Morrowind and Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow do not. Some games like Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance and GTA3/VC work if I knock the CD-tray a round a bit. ]
And, in my opinion, it's much better to relax in a big fluffy chair with some snacks and play an RPG than to huddle over a keyboard sitting upright or slouched over. They're just something that makes you want to sit infront of a TV .
UltimaGecko demands a full review! UltimaGecko demands everyone uses third person speech! UltimaGecko demands that someone find his sheets and pillowcase for his dorm room which he needs by tommorow!

No they didn't. Moneleux said that every time he has his char go to sleep, he first makes a mark outside of his home, and he's at 37.
EDIT:: Yuch, XBox. Yeah, you have fun with that.
EEK, buffin' up the OMGage a little?

Most of the time its just to get the news out. Really, there are only a few games that I'm truly batty about.

Can you walk into a school or church in your underwear and procede to decapitate small children while flipping them the bird in Animal Crossing?
I don't think so.
I don't think you can get married and have kids either...but maybe I'm just missing a lot from Animal Crossing.
[Oh, and: Let's all bash the Xbox, because it was the cool thing to do 3 years ago! Yea!
"The Xbox weightses as much as a brick!!! Taking into account solely its apperance and weight: It sucks!"]
I'm just looking forward to the fact it'll be something for me to do during September/October since at university the pings are worse than a papercup-and-string telephone. Hopefully my roommate isn't obsessed with MTV or anything else that bites into my TV time....bah to (most) pop culture.
Lots of exploration + real free form gameplay (main quest? pffft, I'm off to punt chickens and break stuff) + artistic graphics + dynamic (although, a bit more analog since the initial announcement) character development + realistic life cycles for the citizens (non-existant in Morrowind, and something I hope is implemented nicely) + ability to own towns and property + ability to kill anyone + good/evil selection (which is much more subtle than KotOR, apparently) + chicken punting + innovative leveling system - kind of subpar initial plot (Oh no, my family's been killed - hopefully it gets better) - the giggling women are a bit annoying, hopefully that was just that one video = My $50
...I call it the Gekquation...or something.
i'm not a HUGE rpg fan, but this one caught my attention. it ALMOST drove me to buy an Xbox, but alas, i have no money.
prolly the near future when the price goes down i'll get a bundle or something
Well hey, if he can't make a game out of it maybe he's no good at game making. Or something.
Long story short, my friend has an X-Box and cats. I shall move my bed to his house.
I've actually wanted to get my hands on Gothic 2, but Summoner I got back when it first came out on PC. In fact, its to my left right now.
BTW- yes, the story does get better from "They killed my parents". I promise.
Uh, STALKER.
So far the only RPGs I've been able to REALLY get into as deep as I do with first-person-shooters are Deus Ex and Final Fantasy VII.
