I've never used Morph before...

How do the mechanics of it work? Have to get them to a certain low HP then Morph then, or what?

Yes. When using morph you will most likely notice that it does less damage than a normal attack. To morph it Morph must be the attack KILLING it. Use Analyse to get an opponents HP at the start, then attack it. When you think it is ready to be morphed use someone equiped with W-Order (The one that lets you use 2 yellow materias.. dunno english name ) to analyse it. If it has low enough HP use morph, if not you can use eg. deathblow to do some more damage.

Oh, and if you want to lose less HP as possible, kill all but that one enemy you want morphed, then use Stop/Slow. Don't use poison or reflect, or you might kill it by accident

So its kinda like Capture from FFX, but instead of capturing the thing, you get items instead? neat.

Also even more effective is using Yuffie's ultimate weapon to morph enemies.

It does damage based on how much max HP the targetted monster has. Nifty eh?

Use Yuffie and her Ultimate weapon to morph. She is the mega morpher character of the team. After about an hour of fun morphing the little creatures you'll be hitting 9999 damage in no time. Can't remember the name of the materia but when you level it up you can get 4x physical hit so 4x9999 is great.

you mean 4-cut?
flash is also cool, it doesnt do dmg.
it does "death" effect but its not working on all monsters.

Yeah I think its called 4x-Cut or something its just been so long since I've played the game. Back a few years ago on AOL in a chat room called FF7 Trivia we used to quiz ourselves to death about FF7. Good times back then. Im trying to forget the game a little because I memorized where every boss was so when I knew my level was low id level up. Only to realize the enemy was about 15 levels lower than me so gg there.

Such a great game can't wait to play it again

I do still have the game. After watching the FF:AC trailer the game was taunting me the entire time. Im trying to forget it so when I do decide to play it I wont remember every molecule of dirt in the game 0.0

oh i see.
how much do you think FF:Ac is going to cost?
i think its about 30-40 US dollar.
• DOOManiacDOOManiac Worst. Critic. Ever. Join Date: 2002-04-17 Member: 462Members, NS1 Playtester
40 for one movie? who the hell would pay that?

I'm sure they'll have it out on dvd for $20 at blockbuster just like other straight-to-dvd movies... It'll most likely be in the anime section too for lack of a better category...

Alright, can we discuss AC? I don't understand what this "StarScar" thing everyone is talking about.
• RaVeRaVe Join Date: 2003-06-20 Member: 17538Members
Okay.

Geostigma (previously known as Star Scar Syndrome, and Planetary Scar Syndrome) is a disease that is similar to the Cetra disease that was conceived about a few years before this happened.

It is unknown where this disease had come from, but it is infecting children at a high rate. One of them is Denzel, who is under TIfa's care (and I have to say that her outfit == drooool)

Ah, yeah, and before anyone posts, the three silver haired men (Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz) have Jenova's head, which was already severed when Cloud & co. were in the Shinra building. Funny how the head disappeared for some reason....

So um.... I beat FF7 tonight...

was a lot easier than it was my first time through...

But you see my first time through, I didn't really know what Barrier/MBarrier was good for, and I thought Haste was a waste of time... heh. Yeah...

Kinda **** me off though, I spent 3 days getting a god damn gold chocobo, and then ended up not even casting KOTR one freakin time the entire boss fight...

Ruby Weapon and the Underwater Weapon still kill me in 1 hit though...

Something I noticed about the very very, VERY end is when the screen fades out after you see Red XIII looking over at the now overglown with green plants Midgar, the screen fades out and you hear children noises... Maybe they were somehow planning Advent Children in some form of another all along?
• RaVeRaVe Join Date: 2003-06-20 Member: 17538Members
Actually, I don' think they were planning to make the movie. That scene is about a few thousand years later, compared to 2 years which FF:AC took place.

As for Emerald weapon, be sure you have master Final Attack and master Phoenix materias. You'll definitely need it. Well, that, and using the Lucky 7s trick to down his health a bit XD

You see, I don't like doing that though. Its just stupid. Its an RPG, there shouldn't be 1 set trick hidden way to beat the impossibly hard boss...

But that's just me...

So yeah, FF7 was still good after all these years, though slightly less "PWN" than I remembered. In fact, I'd say (at the risk of being shot) that I prefer the *GAMEPLAY* of FFX to FF7. I just didn't like being rushed into making a choice like you have to w/ ATB, and I liked the party member switching thing, it made it feel more as if you were actually travelling as a group.

read some pages back, there is some good hints to kill ruby and emerald weapon.

when i finished the game for hmm 3-4 time, i thought the bosses were much harder but they wasnt, i killed ruby in few minutes and emerald in like 7-10 minutes.
that wasnt hard if i compare FFX special bosses.

I'm guessing no one actually prefer FF IX to FF VII.

(Yep, guilty as charged)

I prefer simplicity and old schoolness.

The Nanaki scene is actually 500 years later I do believe
